"The Miracle of Love" is a song by British pop duo Eurythmics from their fifth studio album, Revenge (1986). It was released as the album's third single in the United Kingdom on 17 November 1986, by RCA Records. The song was not released as a single in the United States.
While critically acclaimed, "The Miracle of Love" was a modest commercial success, reaching a peak position of No. 23 on the UK Singles Chart. It was a Top 20 hit in Australia and many other European markets, including Belgium and France.
Composition
Written by Eurythmics members Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart, and produced by the latter, "The Miracle of Love" features a soaring guitar solo by Stewart, reprising the melody of the opening bars.
Critical reception
In a review of Revenge, Glenn O'Brien of Spin called "The Miracle of Love" a "miraculous love song that is heavenly, seductive, sweeping, anodynamic, and straightforwardly, blatantly healing".[2]
Music video
