Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Deadman137 (talk) 02:26, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’m not disrupting anything. The guy on the Utah page doesn’t know what he’s talking about. There’s no expansion draft. There will be 32 teams in the league this year. I’m from Canada where the NHL was birthed. I made an account. I am an editor as well. I have been doing this for over 10 years. I just never had an account. Now I have one stop changing my edits. I’m not wrong on what I put. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 02:34, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The NHL already announced that the coyotes are relocating to Salt Lake. I’m really getting tired of this guy trying to say my edits aren’t good enough and they’re wrong. Edit warring

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Utah NHL team shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Oh my God. The NHL has announced that the Arizona coyotes are relocating from Arizona to Salt Lake City. There is no expansion draft. The league will remain at 32 teams. I’m getting sick and tired of this. They are wrong. I am right check the NHL’s website. The guy is literally saying there’s an expansion draft. It’s not even true. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 03:19, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is such a joke. It’s a free encyclopedia that anybody is entitled to edit. But we are here to edit to correct all of the false information all over Wikipedia. Stop calling this and editing war and do some fact checking they are wrong. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 03:21, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
https://www.si.com/nhl/2024/04/18/arizona-coyotes-relocation-nhl-approve-salt-lake-city#:~:text=The%20Coyotes%20will%20move%20to,its%20third%20major%20sports%20team. I don’t know what to say. If this is not enough proofsportsillustrated.com. The team relocated the entire roster and staff is the same. Also, there is no expansion draft. I don’t know why this guy keeps posting it. I’m not trying to be a know, but I’m from Canada and I eat breathe and sleep the sport. I know what I’m talking about. My opinion doesn’t matter all of this has been on nhl.com and the guy literally put please wait until NHL announces this. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 03:25, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, but the entitlement is limited. For one, Wikipedia is operated by consensus, regardless of whether you personally think or interpret the material and reliable sources is true or not. Other editors may interpret the material from reliable sources differently. If you are in the minority, please do not edit war and revert the majority. There have been many others like you since Wikipedia started in 2001 who have been blocked or banned for not following this principle. Regards. Zzyzx11 (talk) 03:32, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am literally speechless so you’re telling me to allow that guy to be wrong and post false information because he’s been editing longer than me. I actually started editing over 10 years ago. I just never made an account. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 03:42, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is ridiculous. This guy is 150% wrong. Check the NHL website what is the point of us being editors if you’re just going to delete what I post and tell me that some guy who’s wrong is right CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 03:42, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have been editing here for 10 years, even if you have not been using a registered account, let me remind you of Wikipedia:Five pillars because it applies here:

Thanks. Zzyzx11 (talk) 04:01, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You can stop lying there isn’t a disagreement he’s 100% wrong. Everything he’s posting is not true. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 04:03, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I haven’t been disrespectful whatsoever. All I’m doing is editing a page with false information and correcting it. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 04:03, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Edit warring#Exemptions. "Correcting false information" is not one of them (and this is also not a subject what generally follows under the bios of living persons). Such content could be controversial, subject to interpretation or lead to disagreements, and thus that is usually treated as part of the larger content dispute. Also, it looks like you have been reverted by other editors besides just that single one. You are just making the same mistakes/rationales/excuses that got others blocked (and I have seen a lot of it on the U.S. political articles and on other controversial subjects). I'm trying to give you this advice so you do not get blocked yourself, but if you are unwilling to do so here on Wikipedia, well... Zzyzx11 (talk) 04:31, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually CanadianEditor1995 you're the one adding false information per this. [1] This has been discussed with you multiple times on the article talk page. Deadman137 (talk) 04:42, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What are you talking about? I’m not adding anything false. This is ridiculous you guys are making we want to quit editing. Now you’re going to turn around and go then quit we don’t need you. Even if you don’t say it you’re thinking it. Last time I inform you guys that the NHL will not be going past 32 teams for the upcoming season and that the entire Arizona coyotes franchise relocated to Salt Lake City. I even put a link to clarify. If you want to ban me go ahead…you guys reside in a state where it doesn’t even snow… CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 04:47, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I really don’t care about Wikipedia go ahead and block me like you’re all wrong. The Utah NHL team is not an expansion team. It’s a relocated franchise. The league is staying at 32 teams. Again, go ahead and block me I don’t care. you’re all wrong and you’re telling me that I’m breaking the rules when all I’m doing is correcting information. go ahead word it the way you want. This is a free encyclopedia and I am entitled to make an account and edit pages. It’s as simple as that. Because you work for Wikipedia and all this nonsense you’re going to shut down whatever i say. Do you know what a thesaurus is? There’s other ways to word things when you speak and it might mean the exact same thing as something else worded in a different manner. Nowhere on the Internet or NHL website has it said Utah is an expansion. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 04:51, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Everything I edit I fact check I wouldn’t vandalize a page and post some thing that is wrong even my East Coast hockey league recent edit it said formally East Coast hockey league and somebody kept editing it back. It’s literally called the East Coast hockey league not formally. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 04:52, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Utah team is a hybrid between relocation and expansion (similar to the NFL's Cleveland Browns relocation to Baltimore in 1996), but it's ultimately considered a expansion team. Per an article from NHL.com, "The NHL would establish a NEW team in Utah, which would acquire Arizona’s hockey assets." If this was a pure relocation, the Coyotes' history would've gone with Utah, and the Coyotes owner wouldn't have been given a 5-year window to reactivate his franchise. HappyBoi3892 (talk) 05:00, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You don’t know what you’re talking about. None of this is confirmed. It’s just rumoured that the coyotes may return in the future. As it stands right now, every single staff member and roster player has been sent to Utah. The league stays at 32 teams. There is no expansion draft. The Minnesota North stars relocated to Dallas and the current Minnesota wild where Minnesota Northstar jerseys as an alternative. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 05:03, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct in how the team could come back in the future but this is 100% contingent on a new rent being built in Arizona. Gary Beckman literally called a relocation at the start of May sitting next to Ryan Smith on camera. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 05:04, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rink* CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 05:04, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Im using siri to type this currently. I will use my computer for actual edits from now on. CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 05:05, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Utah's official website literally states "A new National Hockey League team is coming to Utah! Place your deposit today for only $100 per seat, and secure your spot in line to see Utah’s NHL team compete in its inaugural season at Delta Center!"
Why would they call themselves a "new NHL team" when it's "just a relocation" according to you? HappyBoi3892 (talk) 06:20, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not going to change the page anymore because you’re just going to continuously change what I edit for false information. Last time I address this. The assets of the Arizona coyotes have been transferred over to Utah. The league will have 32 teams this year, not 33. Not sure how clear and precise I have to be with this if the league remains at 32 teams it is not an expansion. I already posted the article from Sports Illustrated stating that the franchise relocated from Arizona. How is it in expansion franchise when the entire staff and roster is the exact same as the Arizona coyotes from last season? Gary Bettman literally said on Sportsnet next to Ryan Smith that the Arizona coyotes are relocating to Utah. The Arizona coyotes could come back in five or six years from now 150% contingent on a new rink being built in Arizona. If the new rink is not built, the league will stay at 32 teams. it will not be listed as an expansion until Arizona gets their team back. You literally put that there’s an expansion draft to stock the team that’s not even true. If Arizona returns to the NHL in the future, the past records of that franchise from Winnipeg and Phoenix will remain with that team. This doesn’t make it an expansion franchise for this upcoming season. If Quebec city gets a team next year with your logic, the Colorado Avalanche are an expansion team now? The Atlanta thrashers moved to Winnipeg in 2011 but chose a different name for the franchise not the Winnipeg thrashers so does that make them an expansion franchise as well? CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 18:11, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, my Internet is not the greatest where I live so I’m going to put an ethernet cable in my PC and I will only edit there from now on. I just realized that recently some of my edits had typos and posted weird. It’s all because of my Internet connection. I will make sure that every edit is clear and precise from now on and I will proofread twice before I post. I don’t want any beef with any other editors. It bothers me that I was told I started an editing war. You and the moderators can say whatever you want and warn me about causing problems and all that nonsense but it’s still not incorrect when I say you’re putting false information on this page. Funny how you said don’t change anything until it’s announced on nhl.com and everything I have said has been announced on nhl.com. Have a good one man… CanadianEditor1995 (talk) 18:15, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
