M&G Volleyball School is an Italian professional men's volleyball team in Grottazzolina, Italy: They currently play in SuperLega since 2024/2025.

History

M&G Volleyball School was born in 2008 merging the two already existing volleyball clubs: Wild Volley Grottazzolina and Montegiorgio Volley. The M&G acronym comes from the two town initials[1]. The team was admitted in Serie C league in the 2008-2009 season, immediately getting the promotion in Serie B2 for the 2009-2010 season[2].

M&G remains in the quarter division of the Italian league for 5 years, until it's promoted in the Serie B1[2] during season 2013-2014, by getting the first place

After the first year, closed in the middle of the table, in the 2015-2016 season closes the championship in second place in its round, getting access to the Serie A2 where starts to play in 2016-2017[2] season. In the 2017-2018 participates for the first time in the Italian Cup League A2, getting eliminated in the quarterfinals.

At the end of the next season, because the reorganization of the whole championship, it was relegated in Serie A3 category.

In the next three seasons it gets always in the first place in its own round at the end of the regular season. In the 2021-2022 season wins the promoting play-off, achieving again the promotion in Serie A2, meanwhile getting in the Serie A3 Italian Cup finals and winning it. After, in the 2023-2024 season it achieves again the promoting play-off, becoming promoted in SuperLega[3] (or Serie A1), where plays in the 2024-2025 season.
