Adebola Adebileje.[1] is a Nigerian academic (born May 30, 1963, in Oyo State, Nigeria). She is a Professor of Applied English Linguistics at Redeemer’s University. Her areas of expertise include English as a Second Language, Nigerian English, English Syntax, Sociolinguistics, and Onomastics.

She serves as the Vice President of the Society for the Study of Names in Nigeria (SSNN) and chairs several committees within Redeemer's University.

Education

Adebileje completed her primary education in Ibadan, Oyo State, and later attended Yejide Girls Grammar School, for her secondary education.

Adebileje obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from the University of Ilorin in 1989, a Master of Education in English Language in 1995, and a Doctorate in English Language Education from the same institution in 2002. Additionally, she holds a PGD in Theology and a Master's in Systematic Theology.

Personal life

Professor Adebileje is a Pastor[3] in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. She is married to Pastor Olusegun Adebileje, and together, they have children and grandchildren.
