Savage Land Mutates

The Savage Land Mutates are the name of a Marvel Comics villain group based in the Savage Land.

History

The Savage Land Mutates were originally human inhabitants that were created by the mutant Magneto. They clashed with the X-Men and Ka-Zar in different occassions. On one occassion, they turned Spider-Man into the Man-Spider and Angel into a bird monster.

Membership

Here are the members of the Savage Land Mutates:

• Magneto - Creator and First Leader
• Amphibius - A frog-like mutant who can leap great distances, breathe underwater, and control aquatic life.
• Barbarus - A four-armed mutant with physical strength, endurance, and injury resistant powers.
• Brainchild - A mutant with an enlarged cranium with psychic powers.
• Equilibrius - A mutant who can release psionic waves from her eyes.
• Gaza - A mutant with enhanced strength, endurance, and resilience as well as radar senses.
• Lupo - A mutant that has strength, speed, endurance, reflexes as well as hyper keen senses, sharp claws, and can command animal life (including dogs). He later gains the appearance of a werewolf-like creature.
• Piper I - A mutant who uses a flute to control animals.
• Lorelei - A mutant with hyper-sonic frequencies made by her vocal cords.

• Whiteout - A mutant who can emit psionic flashes that can blind anyone.
• Worm - A mutant with mind-controlling slime and suction-cup fingers. He also has a worm-like lower body.
• Lupa - A mutant with enhanced strength, speed, endurance, reflexes, night vision, and animal senses. She can also emit pheremone to control beastial creatures.
• Leash - A mutant who can summon one's astral form out of their body allowing her to control that person.
