Fore wings are longer with apex more pointed. Head and thorax are greenish in color. Abdomen with black lateral patches on the first segment. Ventral side of the ochreous. Theretra gnoma is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is known from India, Sri Lanka, Burma, Nepal, Thailand, China.

Description

It is very similar to Theretra clotho clotho, but paler. The hindwing upperside has a pale marginal area which is more extensive than in Theretra clotho clotho, nearly as broad as in Theretra clotho celata.
