In male, palpi crimson with black third joint. Head whitish with a black spot on vertex. Collar and tegulae white with pairs of black spots. Thorax brown with white stripes near the tegulae. Abdomen crimson dorsally with a series of brown spots. Legs striped with crimson color. Fore wings are brown with a highly irregular white fascia from the base, joining a nearly straight medial band sometimes interrupted above median nervure, and with a brown sub-basal spot on it below median nervure. There are two sub-apical spots and one sub-marginal spot above vein 3. Hind wings are crimson with three large irregular sub-marginal brown blotches and some small spots on the margin below apex. |

Pangora erosa is a moth of the Arctiidae family. It was described by Walker in 1855. It is found in India (Travancore, Nilgiris) and Sri Lanka.[1]
Description
In male, palpi crimson with black third joint. Head whitish with a black spot on vertex. Collar and tegulae white with pairs of black spots. Thorax brown with white stripes near the tegulae. Abdomen crimson dorsally with a series of brown spots. Legs striped with crimson color. Fore wings are brown with a highly irregular white fascia from the base, joining a nearly straight medial band sometimes interrupted above median nervure, and with a brown sub-basal spot on it below median nervure.
