Wingspan of make is about 24mm and female 30mm. Head and thorax bright ferrous color. Vertex of head, collar and metathorax with some sulphur-yellowish patches. Abdomen black with narrow white rings, and white anal tuft. Fore wings also ferrous colored, with a yellow patch. There is a series of costal specks and a medial series of spots consisting of a large costal spot, two spots towards inner margin, and two small spots at middle. A series of large marginal and cilial spots and two specks can be seen on inner margin. Hind wings black in color, with a series of white cilial spots. Yepcalphis dilectissima is a moth in the Noctuidae family. It is found in Sri Lanka, the Oriental tropics, the Philippines, Sulawesi and the Sula Islands.[2]
Description
Wingspan of make is about 24mm and female 30mm. Head and thorax bright ferrous color. Vertex of head, collar and metathorax with some sulphur-yellowish patches. Abdomen black with narrow white rings, and white anal tuft. Fore wings also ferrous colored, with a yellow patch. There is a series of costal specks and a medial series of spots consisting of a large costal spot, two spots towards inner margin, and two small spots at middle.
