Wingspan is about 30mm in male and 40mm in female. Antennae of male bipectinate, with short branches dilated at extremity. Head, thorax and fore wings uniform blackish brown. The last with diffused long black scales with pale bases in interspaces of inner and outer areas. Charltona kala is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Swinhoe in 1886. It is found in India,[1] and Sri Lanka.[2]

Description

Wingspan is about 30mm in male and 40mm in female. Antennae of male bipectinate, with short branches dilated at extremity. Head, thorax and fore wings uniform blackish brown. The last with diffused long black scales with pale bases in interspaces of inner and outer areas. Abdomen and hind wings pale fuscous.[3]
