Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
Appearance
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

- To list a technical request: Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Edit this section if you want to move a request from Uncontroversial to Contested.
Uncontroversial technical requests
- Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Boston (currently a redirect to Holy Orthodox Church in North America) → Holy Orthodox Church in North America (move · discuss) – I moved it to Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Boston, but the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Boston is only a part of the Holy Orthodox Church in North America and not the new name of the Holy Orthodox Church in North America Veverve (talk) 20:03, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Living Interfaith Church (currently a redirect to Living Interfaith) → Living Interfaith (move · discuss) – the movement now has two congregations, not just the Living Interfaith Church Knitbutterfly (talk) 19:09, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok (Hasidic dynasty) (currently a redirect to Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok) → Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok (move · discuss) – Another redundant disambiguation of Hasidic dynasties; no need to add the bracketed disambiguator Deeday-UK (talk) 18:01, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- Murda (Candyland song) (currently a redirect to Murda (song)) → Murda (song) (move · discuss) – unambiguous, no other song articles with this title 162 etc. (talk) 16:10, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- European Main Battle Tank (currently a redirect to EMBT) → Main Ground Combat System (move · discuss) – as discussed on the talk page, the franco-german project is MGCS, the E-MBT was a proposal by some companies, so the main article and the redirect page should swap places (can not overwrite the redirect) Guidod (talk) 10:15, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
- 2021 Meron stampede (currently a redirect to 2021 Meron crowd crush) → 2021 Meron crowd crush (move · discuss) – RM closed as move (t · c) buidhe 13:38, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
Contested technical requests
Requests to revert undiscussed moves
- Norway-plus (currently a redirect to Norway-plus model) → Norway plus (currently a redirect instead to Norway-plus model) (move · discuss) – This one was requested here at WP:RM/TR earlier today in the other direction, but it should not have been moved as uncontroversial. The previous move of the article was made by me more than two years ago in March 2019, which means it had been at the stable unhyphenated version for more than two years. I discussed this matter with Buidhe at her talk page, but she has unfortunately declined to undo the move so I am requesting it here. We probably need to have an RM to settle this going forward, but per usual conventions the RM should be conducted with the page at the stable version of the past two years, not a version to which it was only moved today. — Amakuru (talk) 22:29, 8 May 2021 (UTC)
