Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
Appearance
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

Uncontroversial technical requests
- Tokyo Drift (Fast & Furious) (song) (currently a redirect to Tokyo Drift (Fast & Furious)) → Tokyo Drift (Fast & Furious) (move · discuss) – Extra disambiguation not needed. Sufficiently distinct from the movie's article (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) 162 etc. (talk) 01:12, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- @2pou: 162 etc. (talk) 01:15, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- I remember moving this since I had only ever really heard the film referred to as Tokyo Drift without the full title and considered it an appropriate redirect to what most people were seeking, but perhaps due to being too familiar with the franchise? I was surprised to learn there was even a song at the time, though I now quite like it. Anyway, I won’t force it to discussion after having previous history if an uninvolved mover sees fit. -2pou (talk) 02:39, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- Tokyo Drift is currently a primary redirect to the film, and IMO should remain so. I'm not aware of any sources that refer to the film as "Tokyo Drift (Fast & Furious)". 162 etc. (talk) 05:37, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

- Catch as catch can (currently a redirect to Catch wrestling) → Catch as Catch Can (move · discuss) – Uncapitalized should lead to Catch wrestling. Capitalized should be the disambiguation page. Tree Critter (talk) 10:14, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

- Indus Valley Civilisation → Indus Valley civilisation (currently a redirect back to Indus Valley Civilisation) (move · discuss) – Per the resolution of the RM on the talk page. Admin needed as the talk page is move-protected. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 01:27, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
Contested technical requests
- The Boyfriends (UK band) (currently a redirect to The Boyfriends (British band)) → The Boyfriends (currently a redirect instead to Boyfriend (disambiguation)) (move · discuss) – The only page on Wikipedia with this title. Tree Critter (talk) 12:22, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- There's The Boy Friends though. 162 etc. (talk) 16:44, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Tree Critter, I'm not sure if WP:SMALLDETAILS applies here. -Kj cheetham (talk) 19:13, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

- AccuRx (currently a redirect to Accurx) → Accurx (move · discuss) – company renamed 79.173.175.166 (talk) 11:16, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Contesting as per WP:NAMECHANGES, we need independent, reliable sources consistently switching to the new spelling. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:08, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Given it's the same letters and just a change of case of one of them, I wonder if the new proposed name is better as it's sentance case rather than stylised as per MOS:CAMELCASE? -Kj cheetham (talk) 15:13, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

- Dusky Sound → Tamatea / Dusky Sound (currently a redirect back to Dusky Sound) (move) – Page has been moved three times unilaterally in the past 8 months - propose reverting to last stable title in order for due process to be followed. Turnagra (talk) 01:55, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Title was boldly moved to Tamatea / Dusky Sound in March 2020; after that it was stable for a bit longer than the most recent efforts, but I think the long term stable title is the current one. It helps that it also appears to be the WP:COMMONNAME, with 42 results in the past year (46 results, but three are unrelated and one isn't in English) compared to 6 for any form of the dual name (7 results, but one isn't in English). BilledMammal (talk) 02:06, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- More than a year and a half is still absolutely long enough for it to be classed as a stable title. Turnagra (talk) 02:11, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- If it had been heavily edited then I would agree, but there were only 13 edits during that time and none were significant. BilledMammal (talk) 02:23, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Given that many other similar moves in that time were protested or reverted, not to mention every move since for this specific page, I think it's pretty clear that this was established as the stable title. Turnagra (talk) 04:24, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- I think I agree with BilledMammal that the stable title should be regarded as the current one. It's also pertinent that the original bold move was done on the basis of a guideline which has since been amended, and the reversion to the prior title was made on the basis that the original stable title had become compliant with the guideline; therefore the December 2021 move, reverting the reversion from November 2021, shouldn't ahve taken place. — Amakuru (talk) 07:28, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

- The Self-Titled Tour (Paramore) (currently a redirect to Self-Titled Tour) → The Self-Titled Tour (currently a redirect instead to Self-Titled Tour) (move · discuss) – The one with the article should be made into the primary topic with a hatnote, per WP:ONEOTHER. Tree Critter (talk) 06:51, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Considering WP:THE, the Billboard and MTV articles, should the article be Self-Titled Tour instead? Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 09:35, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
