I think it should be moved to Evil Queen (Disney)

I agree. I have never heard of the name Queen Grimhilde

I have not reviewed the references yet. They're always last. There's a lot of cleaning up that'll need to be done.

(Nominator's note: OK, please give me some time. I'm not the one who developed this article, I just came across and felt that it was quite solid. I'll try and see if I can do anything with it. ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 07:26, 13 July 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Infobox

  • What's the Cell Block Tango?
Where is it?Forbidden User (talk) 18:46, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Olivia Wilde's portraits aren't mentioned in the article proper; infoboxes are meant as summaries of the article, not replacements.
  • Audley's audiobook appearance should be mentioned in Merchandise.
  • Has Disney officially said that their Original Movie should be considered canonical? Evvie's inclusion is suspect. If she had slipped a ring on Hades in House of Mouse, would you list the Lord of the Head as her husband?

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

  • Was she a queen before marrying the king? That's what your wording implies. I'd prefer "A mysterious and icily beautiful woman has gained her royal position by marrying a widowed king"
 DoneForbidden User (talk) 18:46, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Are there any readily accessible sources about the role of stepparents in literature? I know there are multiple RS on this common narrative.
  • I think it would be worth highlighting in a sentence or two any major narrative changes for the Queen.
  • "Her beauty is shrouded in ugliness and age; presumably, she has an ability to change back.[6]"
 DoneForbidden User (talk) 18:46, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • While you're citing a 2005 book as to the Queen truly dying, it would be good to find publication information for the 1936 novelization as well.

Conception, design and portrayal

  • "Notably, the Queen was the first character to ever speak in an animated film." You really should say "in an animated feature film", as it's possible people might not know the chronology.

Solved with this edit ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 03:56, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The magic mirror and its role.

One must wonder about the mirror its power and its role. Where did Grimhilde get it from and if someone gave it to her - who and with what intent? It is with reason it has been said that it just is not true that the sweet teen Snow white should be more fair than the queen. Also: can there at all be anyone objectively the most fair of all? Does the mirror follow some agenda of its own - or of someone else? Of great interest in this context is that the queen seems to have all but abdicated her role as regent. Then who does rule the kingdom? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.198.216.242 (talk) 09:12, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Evil Queen (Disney)Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) – Per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(films)#Character_articles, we should be using the movie title as parenthetical disambiguation. Interstellarity (talk) 00:04, 8 July 2021 (UTC) Relisting. Adumbrativus (talk) 02:30, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Interstellarity: I'm not sure about this one, as Evil Queen (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) may not sufficiently distinguish this character from the original Evil Queen from the Snow White fairytale. That the fairytale does not have "and the Seven Dwarfs" in its name is a technicality that most people probably don't know. Additionally, Snow White (disambiguation) lists other works called "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" which are unrelated to the Disney franchise but of course do feature the Evil Queen. Needs a re-write

I can't exactly put my finger on it, but this whole article feels sloppy - both poorly written and with poorly organized info across the sections. Someone with more skill than I have should do a clean up re-write. 2600:1700:5EC3:5010:DDD1:B5BA:7DAF:A7BB (talk) 00:38, 19 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 22 June 2022

– To be WP:CONSISTENT with other Disney characters. Shwcz (talk) 15:37, 22 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 21:09, 30 June 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 01:23, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Though the nom mentions consistency, I see no consistency among other Disney characters. Some are titled with (Disney) (e.g. Genie (Disney)), some are titled (Disney character) (e.g. Megara (Disney character)), others are titled by the film (e.g. Belle (Beauty and the Beast)). Is there a guideline for these? Most characters are titled with either (Disney) or (film name). Natg 19 (talk) 23:26, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe there should be a discussion about this at WikiProject Disney. I honestly think that it should just be (character) and if further disambiguation is needed (Disney character) ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 12:08, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Natg. Doesn't appear to be any consistent format as of yet. --Spekkios (talk) 00:16, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support for Evil Queen and Pluto move to be WP:CONSISTENT. We as a group at WikiProject Disney have agreed to use this flowchart for the title of Disney characters. Looking at the disambiguation page Pete, it seems that Pete can be disambiguated as just (character).
