Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
Appearance
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

- To list a technical request: Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.
Technical requests
Uncontroversial technical requests
- Christopher Brookmyre (currently a redirect to Chris Brookmyre) → Chris Brookmyre (move · discuss) – Common form of name, used on book covers and author website. I mistakenly moved existing "chris Brookmyre" redirect to correct caps before deciding a page move was needed, hence there's a redirect with history preventing a simple move. - Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light rail (currently a redirect to VTA light rail) → VTA light rail (move · discuss) – much more WP:COMMONNAME than current title and way less clunky than the current name InvadingInvader (talk) 01:15, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
- Evgueni and Sacha Galperine (currently a redirect to Evgueni Galperine) → Evgueni Galperine (move · discuss) – text is about the composer Evgueni Galperine, as is this French version: "https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evgueni_Galperine", and the title should reflect that accordingly, as it does in the French article and as is the wish of the composer himself, whom I am in contact with ZappMCE (talk) 21:12, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- KXKW-LP (currently a redirect to KXKW-LD) → KXKW-LD (move · discuss) – Actual callsign Mvcg66b3r (talk) 19:43, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (currently a redirect to Three Flavours Cornetto) → The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (currently a redirect instead to Three Flavours Cornetto) (move · discuss) – Per the official title and logo of the film series, and as released on the home media collection boxsets, this page should be moved as requested due to the fact that it is a pronoun (title), and the letters "T" that aren't capitalized are not done so, in error. Requests to revert undiscussed moves
- Parade's End (miniseries) (currently a redirect to Parade's End (TV series)) → Parade's End (TV series) (move · discuss) – Correct UK format for a UK serial from a UK work, incorrectly moved recently. Halbared (talk) 21:01, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
- House of Representatives (Indonesia) → People's Representative Council (currently a redirect back to House of Representatives (Indonesia)) (move · discuss) – This article was just recently moved to the new title without much discussion. As far as I'm aware, both titles are correct, however I believe that the old name should be retained as a large number of English sources use the term People's Representative Council rather than House of Representatives. For example, Robert Cribb and Audrey Kahin's Historical Dictionary of Indonesia, M. C. Ricklefs's A History of Modern Indonesia since. 1300, and etc. The man from Gianyar (talk) 10:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
