Page mover

I am working through Baltoscandinavia categories and category moving (without leaving redirects) would be good not to clutter Wikipedia database with unnecessary redirects, e.g. Category:1940 Finish novels (should be Finnish). I am already admin in Wikidata, and I am already page mover in Commons Estopedist1 (talk) 11:06, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'm requesting an indefinite extension of page mover permissions, and the trial expires in a bit (courtesy ping User:Salvio giuliano). During that period, I've found the perms indispensable in draftifying articles not quite ready for mainspace, as well as helping out at WP:RMTR and closing the occasional WP:RM discussion. This would assist a lot. Thanks! Silikonz💬 18:07, 13 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

My main reason for requesting this permission is to move pages to draft without leaving a redirect. As of now, I don't intend to use the tool for any other domain on Wikipedia. I have read the required rules and guidelines for the page mover right and I will make sure I abide by them while using the tool. Razer(talk) 17:36, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done for a trial period of two months. You are an experienced user and I don't think you are going to break the wiki, so I am not going to deny your request; however, I don't feel you are experienced enough as far as moves are concerned, so I'm uncomfortable granting this user right indefinitely right off the bat Salvio giuliano 20:08, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Working with films, I often move articles to more appropriate titles (mostly per MOS:FOREIGNTITLE in Spanish-language films), which in many cases already exist as redirects with non-trivial edit history, preventing me from performing the move and requiring me to request for many uncontroversial technical moves at the same time. —El Millo (talk) 18:56, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
