Shortcuts
See Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Reviewers#Guidelines for granting for the granting guidelines. Guidelines include account age at least 90 days old, at least 500 edits to mainspace, demonstrated knowledge of page quality control (usually shown through participation in processes such as WP:AFD, WP:CSD, WP:AFC reviewing, etc.), no blocks or 3RR violations in the past 6 months, and no indications of undisclosed paid editing. Applicants should show some evidence that they generally meet the guidelines, have a demonstrated need for the right, and that they have read and fully understood the tutorial at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Editors may want to consider WP:NPPSCHOOL before applying.

I particularly enjoy helping new editors who are figuring out Wikipedia still, but have a strong passion for learning how to help the encyclopedia. I can more closely relate to these users because I myself was one only a year ago, and after this last year I feel confident in my knowledge on article creation, deletion as well as Wikipedia’s notability guidelines.

There have been ups and down this last year. Don’t get me wrong! Some articles I have learned are not quite ready to stand alone, and others almost seem to write themselves. I am not perfect, and I am still learning every day. However, this is exactly why I think helping out new editors would be a role I’d find very fulfilling. I want to help people learn to edit for Wikipedia — not get overwhelmed by the process.

In the past week: An improper cut and paste page move at Wildest Dreams (song), this unexplained blanking of references, this insertion of unreliable sources, this questionable violation of WP:DENY, and this unnecessary GAR. What is the purpose of Wikipedia:Humor/Scratch (programming language) with such gallow humor about killing squads? What is this unexplained revert of a constructive edit? The humorous article was from the Scratch wiki (I should remove the killing squad thing), the rest were mistakes (sorry). But I do hope to let you know, that these edits were in good faith (I have a bad sense of humor and I did not see WP:DENY), so thanks for letting me know. I’ll take it as an AfI.
