New page reviewer

Hi there, I received the automated message about NPP needing volunteers, so I’m applying for NPP rights as I believe I can contribute well. I have strong mainspace editing experience, and have experience in AfD/PRODing as well as Articles for Creation. GraziePrego (talk) 01:46, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

True, thank you MusikBot! I had zero AfC experience back then, and so I got that permission and got some experience. Also had more AfD experience since then too. GraziePrego (talk) 02:16, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I received a notification on my talk page inviting me to apply for new page reviewer rights to help with the backlog. I have been editing for some time and am happy to volunteer to help wherever I can. I am willing to do a temporary trial period if that is preferred. I have prior experience creating articles through the AfC process and participating in AfD. My usual edit areas are geography, vexillology, and ITN articles, with some experience publishing hurricane articles in my earlier years on the encyclopedia, and lately I've been dedicating a lot of time to familiarizing myself with the notability guidelines for articles about fictional characters. I hope that I will be able to make myself useful and do my part to clear out the backlog. Thank you for the invitation and for the opportunity to help!  Vanilla  Wizard 💙 01:52, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done for a 2 month trial. Please re-apply approximately a week before the perm is set to expire if you wish to keep it. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:27, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've been editing off and on for 16+ years and I'm familiar with Wikipedia's content policies. I'm familiar with AfD, both nominating for and contributing to discussions. I've had cause to go to Commons on a few occasions recently and use CSDs to take down copyvio images. I'm applying because I got a notice on my usertalk which indicated that volunteers were needed and a couple of reviews each time I logged in would be helpful which I'd be willing to help out with if there is a backlog. I have done a fair amount of editing, with two GA's that I was prime on and I have reviewed 4 others (one ongoing), plus a lot of other edits. Most have been physics related pages, a few in chemistry/material science and related. I have been doing some AfC for a month or so, mainly of academics but a few on related STEM areas. I have nominated one (perhaps two AfD) and commented on a few others. I think I am fairly competent in the hard sciences in general. I think I have enough competence now. Requesting new page review rights to monitor the quality of new pages against content policy. This account has existed for about a year, in which time I've created over a hundred articles, including attaching media compliant with correct copyright policy. I've also frequently initiated and participated in AfD and PROD directions under WP:VG with a specific focus on the issues around notability. As a project-specific editor I'm mindful I may have less exposure to some CSD categories. VRXCES (talk) 02:20, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Like others, I received an invitation on my talk page asking for volunteers. I've been editing for just over three years and have a good understanding of policies and guidelines (I can cite extensive content creation including 25+ DYKs and five GAs, and a little bit of participation at AFD). I've read the information page and the processes look clear and easy to understand. I like to think I'm civil and constructive with other editors, including new editors. Happy to do a one-month trial period. Cheers, Chocmilk03 (talk) 03:20, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've have reviewed the WP:NPRCRITERIA and found that I meet all the outlined criteria. My knowledge of Wikipedia policies and guidelines is solid. I frequently help out in Wikipedia:Cleanup and Wikipedia:WikiProject Unreferenced articles. Jeraxmoira (talk) 05:23, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I believe I could contribute to NPP in a positive way. I've been on Wikipedia for over eight years and have created 45 active article on EN Wikipedia. I am fairly active on AFD and my statistics on AFD's I believe are mostly consistent with the community. I would like to help decease the large article backlog currently on Wikipedia. I would be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for your time! Grahaml35 (talk) 05:32, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Received MediaWiki invitation to volunteer for NPP. Have always appreciated work that patrollers do, even if a few have been too quick to pounce. Have experience with AfD guidelines and processes (participated in 400+ discussions including 3 nominations for deletion). Have expanded many stubs by adding reliable sources. Have experience as DYK nominator, reviewer, and promoter. Adhere to WP:AGF. Cielquiparle (talk) 06:08, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've received an invitation to help with the new pages patrol and I would like to help. I have a good understanding of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines - I'm active at WP:AfD and regularly patrol WP:PROD nominations. I am good at spotting WP:COPYVIO, WP:PROMO & WP:PAID contributions. I got a message on my talk page saying you had quite a backlog. I have just searched for references to help improve one of the articles I see on the new page feed. I would like to declare it reviewed. I'll look over other things to help review and improve as well of course. Dream Focus 17:26, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note I had this before for three years. No idea when or why it was taken from me. Dream Focus 20:12, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Dream Focus: According to your user rights log you've never had the new page reviewer right. Are you talking about another account? – Joe (talk) 11:12, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I'd like to apply for the NPR permission, as I'd like to help with the backlog. I've read the Wikipedia:New pages patrol page in full, and am familiar with the notability guidelines, CSD policies, etc. I am a current AFC reviewer, although I have not been active with AFD recently. Please ping me if you have any questions. Best, — Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 20:07, 18 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To help out with reviewing new pages and clear the backlog. I've been granted the permission twice previously on a time limited basis. First in September 2022, and then extended in October 2022 for that backlog drive. Sideswipe9th (talk) 01:20, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Active Wikipedia user who is interested in helping with the new page backlog. PK-WIKI (talk) 02:15, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was invited to be part of the NPP backlog and I wanted to apply for the rights in order to help with this. I am familiar with most of Wikipedia's guidelines and I have read the NPP guideance. I regularly take part in AFD discussions (and CFD too) and thus have relevant experience. I have also published several articles of my own which have all been reviewed (one was one of yesterday's DYK facts). DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 04:08, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help clear the backlog of drafts. I've thoroughly read and understood the instructions on how to review, and I have experience in various aspects of content creation as well as having good interactions with other editors. Thanks! ~ ‍ ‍ Relativity ‍ 04:57, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to help out a bit with the backlog, I do a lot of AfC reviewing and a little AfD. I might also find some good DYK fodder here, which is a nice plus. BuySomeApples (talk) 22:03, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm applying for NPP reviewer rights following an invitation by NPP Coordination to help clear the backlog. I believe I well meet the criteria: account created in 2018; 5000+ edits; 1yr+ AfC reviewer (about 700 articles); currently enrolled in the Counter-Vandalism Unit Academy course; 300+ AFD discussions (with 94% matching outcomes); familiar with and use Twinkle, Huggle, Earwig's Copyvio Detector. Would be happy to help out. Cabrils (talk) 22:43, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Done, thanks for helping out. – Joe (talk) 11:16, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting new page reviewer rights is that I was on a trial basis and has now expired. Would like to be as permanent (page reviewer). Best regards. Rick (talk) 11:05, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
