If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

- Świątek → Świątek (disambiguation) (move · discuss) – Świątek should be redirected to Iga Świątek, and therefore the current disambiguation renamed, as I believe the tennis player is the primary topic. See 1) WikiNav stats, which show almost 100% of outgoing clicks going to Iga Świątek, and 2) pageview analysis for all articles in the disambig, which consistently shows Iga Świątek as most viewed. - This isn't a disambiguation page, it's page about the name. I doubt the tennis player's longterm significance exceeds that of the name itself, some of those listed being centuries old. There is also generally a very high bar for surname only redirects. — Amakuru (talk) 07:26, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, I didn't notice it was a surname template and not a disambig template (or realize those two types are treated differently). Is there a project page that lists the criteria for surname only redirects? --Iiii I I I (talk) 07:59, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

- MXP: Most Extreme Primate (currently a redirect to MXP: Most Xtreme Primate) → MXP: Most Xtreme Primate (move · discuss) – Destination is the correct title of the film. —Matthew / (talk) 04:18, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @MatthewHoobin. After checking the page history, I noticed that both MXP: Most Extreme Primate and MXP: Most Xtreme Primate are redirecting to MVP: Most Valuable Primate.
- I'm wondering why you created a new article at MXP: Most Extreme Primate and not MXP: Most Xtreme Primate (which matches the film title). Since both of these pages are redirects, you can absolutely create a new article at MXP: Most Xtreme Primate, and MXP: Most Extreme Primate will be modified to redirect to MXP: Most Xtreme Primate. Requests to revert undiscussed moves
- Legal status of fictional child pornography (currently a redirect to Legal status of fictional pornography depicting minors) → Legal status of fictional pornography depicting minors (move · discuss) – Undiscussed move from a long-standing title. User82828 (talk) 02:44, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Saguenay (Province of Canada electoral district, 1841) (currently a redirect to Saguenay (Province of Canada electoral district)) → Saguenay (Province of Canada electoral district) (move · discuss) – The proposed new name was the original name for this article. I changed it to the version with the year, because in 1853 a different Saguenay district was created, so I added the year to this article to disambiguate. However, after further research into the legislation from 1853 and 1855, I realised that the subsequent district was always treated as a joint district, with another district, so no need for disambiguation to this article. The name of the joint district will be the disambiguation. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 14:23, 17 March 2024 (UTC)

- Corporate (disambiguation) → Corporate (currently a redirect instead to Corporation) (move · discuss) – per MOS:DABPAGENAME and no primary topic. Title moved by a currently-inactive user out of convenience. Intrisit (talk) 19:26, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- This has been a primary redirect since 2006, and at first glance, a justified one. Not uncontroversial. 162 etc. (talk) 21:46, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- What I Am → What I Am (Edie Brickell & New Bohemians song) (move · discuss) – This should be moved because another article of the same name, What I Am (Zayn song) exists, so there should be a disambiguator to mark the difference between the two articles. 18:31, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

- Everything on the disambiguation page is related to women named Olivia. The current redirect makes sense, and the Livvy (disambiguation) page should be merged. 162 etc. (talk) 04:31, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
- Marina Oliver is an Olivia? Clarityfiend (talk) 21:15, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

- What are you talking about? Livvy West is a pen name. Clarityfiend (talk) 11:08, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

- Innocent Victims → Civilian casualty (move · discuss) – I disambiguated the former Innocent Victims to Innocent Victims (statue). Now the bare Innocent Victims should redirect to a better target, Civilian casualty proposed. Assuming link targets might need to be changed so using this technical request rather than moving the redirect myself. PK-WIKI (talk) 03:31, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- @PK-WIKI: I reverted that undiscussed move. Innocent Victims, capitalized and plural, is a proper name. There's no need for disambiguation, especially when innocent victims isn't an article. Note Innocent Victim is also a proper name without disambiguation. Station1 (talk) 03:53, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, innocent victims can refer to many things besides civilian casualties, for example victims of ordinary crime. (t · c) buidhe 18:36, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Nishi-Shinjuku Station → Nishi-shinjuku Station (currently a redirect back to Nishi-Shinjuku Station) (move · discuss) – Official station capitalization as per the official Tokyo Metro website. HaapsaluYT (talk) 22:16, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Shinjuku is the name of a place, so wouldn't MOS:HYPHENCAPS suggest to use uppercase? Also, I notice that the sign for Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station also uses a lowercase 'g'. There may be other cases like these, and they should be consistent. On the other hand, there is Higashi-shinjuku Station. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:43, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Shinjuku is the name of a place, but so is Nishi-Shinjuku (yes it uses uppercase capitalization). This is a source of inconsistency across Japanese articles. See Shakujii-kōen Station vs Hitotsubashi-Gakuen Station vs Ōizumi-gakuen Station for this issue (all three should ideally be lowercase). Additionally see Higashikurume, Tokyo vs Higashi-Kurume Station, which demonstrates how location names are romanized differently by source. Higashi-shinjuku Station is correct lowercase because it uses official capitalization as per the Tokyo Metro website. HaapsaluYT (talk) 17:50, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Milan Smith → Milan D. Smith, Jr. (currently a redirect back to Milan Smith) (move · discuss) – Judge Smith's full name is Milan D. Smith, Jr., as opposed to just Milan Smith. Adg135cg (talk) 18:00, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- WP:COMMONNAME may be more relevant here, rather than his full name. I see him named three different ways in various reliable sources: Milan Smith; Milan D. Smith; and Milan D. Smith, Jr. If journalists use the basic "Milan Smith" at least part of the time, there seems to be no harm with using that for his article title here. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 14:36, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- I tend to think of him as "Milan Smith", but that may be because I'd seen this Wikipedia article. @Adg135cg: We don't necessarily go by "full name" (like John G. Roberts, Jr.) unless that is the most common name in independent, reliable sources or unless there is a need to distinguish this article from another article about a person of the same name. This technical request has been contested. As such, it would require a requested-move discussion, which you can begin by clicking "discuss" on your request. You can remove this request after opening a discussion (or if you do not want to continue). SilverLocust 💬 11:35, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

- I'd ideally like to see a bit more usage of the new name in reliable souces, to satisfy the WP:NAMECHANGES requirements... almost all sourcing seems to be under the simple Blue Hills name as far as I can tell, and the proposed name also sounds like a bit of a catchy trade name too... — Amakuru (talk) 11:46, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

controversial (adj.)
