Battle of Svensksund (1790) → Battle of Svensksund — Keeping a dabpage really isn't merited in this case since the second battle is by far the most notable. The 1790 battle should be at Battle of Svensksund and Battle of Svensksund (1789) will be linked to with a hatnote. Peter Isotalo 22:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Ships of the line?
[edit]There does not appear to be any credence to the claims regarding ships of the line taking part into the battle, neither Swedish or Russian coastal fleets possessed any and both high seas fleets were elsewhere. None of the sources available to me list any ships of the line taking part into the battle. - Wanderer602 (talk) 09:00, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with this. It seems as if the frigates are being presented as much larger than they actually were.
- The reference added by the anon is also too cryptic. Who or what is "Bain 1894" and how does one look it up? The idea that this is a matter of Swedish vs Russian sources is also entirely false since both Artéus and Glete use both Swedish and Russian sources for their figures. Russian and Swedish (primary) sources should not be confused with the nationalities of the historians using them.
