I added an "In Popular Culture" section to put it under. Saimdusan Talk|Contribs 03:04, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the image given is of Devi, not Kaurwaki. it is written written so in his memoir "Aponkatha" which describes the made in 1910 painting as that of "Bidisha Debi standing at the railings of Sanchi Stupa". Also it was Devi who was Ashoka's first and most favourite wife. She was also the empress (Maharani). Kaurwaki was simply a Rani who rose to power after Devi's early death. Also it was Devi who led Ashoka to Buddhism as she was born a Buddhist, unlike his other queens who embraced Buddhism under his orders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Roopshah (talkcontribs) 10:39, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Riyyyaa19aaaa, You are not listening. Please stop adding it back. As you can see here, in this edit, you are still adding several lines without any source supporting that content. So it has been removed from the article and saved in the Page history. You should not add content with Citation needed tag. Since you are adding that content it is your responsibility to provide citation. You cannot add anything you want with [citation needed] tag. If you want more time to search for good quality references then please copy the content and improve them in User:Riyyyaa19aaaa/sandbox. Please do not add any text without a reference. If you add it will be removed. You can always find your content back from Page history.--Venkat TL (talk) 12:36, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok sure Riyyyaa19aaaa (talk) 13:03, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Riyyyaa19aaaa These edits that you are making are based on the story of the TV serial Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat and the source that you have added seems to be copied from Tivala. I have explained this in detail at User talk:Riyyyaa19aaaa#The story of the TV Serial Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is not true history. In your edits you are changing Karuvaki word to Rani Karuvaki. Please explain which book or source supports the fact that Karuvaki was known as Rani Karuvaki? Venkat TL (talk) 13:16, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok but I was writing about her son I copied it Riyyyaa19aaaa (talk) 13:23, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And about rani I added it because she was an queen Riyyyaa19aaaa (talk) 13:26, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So can I add queen Karuvaki Riyyyaa19aaaa (talk) 13:27, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But who is reverting my edits Riyyyaa19aaaa (talk) 13:27, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your edits. To answer your question, no you cannot add Rani word before her name. You have to first find a reliable source, a book where a Historian has called this person as Rani Karuvaki. Only then can you add the word Rani. Please understand that People in Magadh did not speak Hindi which is a recently developed language. So I am very sure, they would not have called her Rani. I hope you understand. Kaurvaki/Karuvaki

[edit]

The article uses both spellings; if both are valid, this should be noted at the top; otherwise, the article should be standardized Al Begamut (talk) 14:32, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
