- in Battle of Siddim, Laylah was sent to help Abraham, leading him and lifting him above the danger. http://books.google.com/books?id=XbNUVOl4BjsC&pg=PA54&dq=laylah+angel+of+the+night&hl=en&sa=X&ei=yDlxT-vtN4K2twfN2MG9Dw&ved=0CGEQ6AEwCDgK#v=onepage&q=laylah%20angel%20of%20the%20night&f=false Water from the well: Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah By Anne Richardson Roiphe p54
- In Psalm 91, Laylah is a night terror. Gates of light By Joseph ben Abraham Gikatilla, Avi Weinstein p269
- The first source Water from the well: Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah by Anne Richardson Roiphe, what does p54 say concerning Siddim? The only thing it can say is as R. Johanan in Sanhedrin 96a, so best to cite that from a more scholarly source.
- The second source is Gates of light by Joseph ben Abraham Gikatilla (13thC) Kabbalah, and doesn't say that "night terror" is an angel.

Proposed rename
[edit]Would it make sense to rename the article "Laylah" and have a section about the angel? The article would focus on the term Laylah, as night, as an angel, and as anything else that comes up. USchick (talk) 14:47, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hi USchick. Wikipedia already has an article on night, and there doesn't appear to be any call for an article night in Judaism, does there? If you mean the Hebrew word לילה, then that already has a wiktionary article (as it should do per WP:DICDEF). In ictu oculi (talk) 15:11, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'm proposing changing the name of this article from Angel Laylah to Laylah. USchick (talk) 16:22, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with that, or see the need for an RM. Though it probably should be Lailah rather than Laylah anyway. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:21, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- done, seems more common. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:29, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Philtrum
[edit]In mythology, is it said that a human being's "philtrum" is created by Leliel?[1] Twillisjr (talk) 10:45, 8 June 2013 (UTC)
