Edit Request 11-21-2023

[edit]

I work with MullenLowe and am aware that it's considered a conflict of interest if I edit the article directly. I'd like to make a series of requests in order to stay within community guidelines. These edits will update the article name, leadership and history, since the company has been renamed as MullenLowe Global, restructured several member agencies into one, hired a new CEO, and changed the organization logo. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  • Please update the logo in the infobox with the new logo, which can be seen here. It can be saved as a JPG by right clicking on it in the article. For additional validation that this is the new logo, see the US MullenLowe site, where it has already been implemented.  Done STEMinfo (talk) 23:45, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • There are several instances where MullenLowe Group can be changed to MullenLowe Global. I can't source the actual date of the name change, but this recent independent source from June 2023 uses the new MullenLowe Global name when referring to the company. The areas that can be changed are the name field in the infobox, the bolded text in the lead, which can be changed to "MullenLowe Global, formerly MullenLowe Group, is an integrated marketing communications network headquartered in London.", and the first sentence in the history section, which can be changed to "A precursor of MullenLowe Global, Lowe & Partners...".  Done STEMinfo (talk) 23:45, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • The company URL has also changed. The homepage field in the infobox should be "homepage = {{URL|http://www.mullenlowegroup.com/}}", and the same URL template should be in the external links section. I just noticed that there's a spam link in the external links section for Capacity Profile Design. That can also be removed.  Done STEMinfo (talk) 23:45, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • The rest of the lead should simply say "It is part of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG)." The different agencies listed there now have either rolled up into MullenLowe Global, or into a different group within IPG. source for Profero and Salt (aka MullenLowe Comms) rolling up into MullenLowe Global and source for Mediahub moving into IPG's Mediabrands group. The consolidation of MullenLowe can't be sourced, and they don't have great individual coverage anyway, so there's no reason to mention them separately. Accordingly, all the divisions can also be deleted from the infobox.  Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:01, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please add these two items chronologically to the history section.
In November 2022, Kristen Cavallo, the CEO of The Martin Agency, was promoted to global CEO of MullenLowe Group. Alex Leikikh continued as chairman of MullenLowe Group.[1]
In 2023, the company, by then rebranded as MullenLowe Global, redesigned its logo and combined the different divisions into the main MullenLowe brand.[2][3]
Done but in the future please try to avoid adding urldefense urls. I don't like adding them. STEMinfo (talk) 00:31, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • To address the new CEO, please replace the key people field in the infobox with "key_people = Kristen Cavallo, CEO[1]
Alex Leikikh, Chairman[4]" The named source adage3 shows as blank in the ref section below, but it's already in the article, in the 2015 history section.  Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:31, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • The four bullet points in the operations section can be removed, since those entities are no longer standalone groups within MullenLowe Global (see 2nd bullet point above).  Done STEMinfo (talk) 00:31, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Lastly, the organization section can be rewritten as
MullenLowe Global is an integrated marketing communications network. Specialties include creative strategy; digital, CRM, brand and corporate PR; and social influence, purpose and sustainability consulting. The company has offices worldwide, including Indian agency MullenLowe Lintas Group, and US based agency MullenLowe U.S..Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).
Done @Echr1234: but the ref code you posted and the URL were corrupt. I had to hunt the correct link down. I also changed it above so the talk page wouldn't show citation errors. I also changed the requested text to say "The company reports offices worldwide" since you're using a company source that isn't considered independent. STEMinfo (talk) 00:31, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Echr1234 (talk) 15:17, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request 8-23-24

[edit]

Hello - I'm back again with another update request for our article. Our CEO has resigned and has been replaced by our former CEO. Here are the specific changes and source. I'm pinging @STEMinfo: who was kind enough to help us the last time.

  • Please replace the key people field with this text:
key_people = Alex Leikikh, Global CEO<ref name=adage2024>{{cite web|url=https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://adage.com/article/agency-news/kristen-cavallo-retires-advertising-political-activism/2546656__;!!N96JrnIq8IfO5w!lsVGx_TDbyc9bWKU_n1MObJjKe5nxlkfUdRskZCJRIqzDF0zEFUO8-hjsV1CK78BZizyPM70ao9zRBo_pHQDBxgLsm1FgeO2gA$ |title=Kristen Cavallo retires from advertising to pursue political activism |website=Adage |date=2024-03-18 |accessdate=2024-08-19}}</ref>
  • Please add this line to the end of the history section, using a ref name from the last request:
In March 2024, Cavallo retired as CEO and former CEO Alex Leikikh returned as Global CEO.<ref name=adage2024/>

Done @213.94.52.68: For some reason I didn't see this. You should use the {{edit COI}} template like you did before, so others can help as well. STEMinfo (talk) 20:47, 22 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
