Edit Request - Company History please add Central Point Software

[edit]

In the Company History section there is no mention of the acquisition of Central Point Software in 1994

However Wikipedia discusses this here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Point_Software

Unfortunately it appears this site has locked editing otherwise I would make the addition

(No axe to grind about slow software like most of these posts, IMHO if you don't like slow software run Linux, LOL) Tmittelstaedt (talk) 23:09, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

(Sorry, I don't do this often enough to know the syntax and protocol, so I'm tagging on to this request. I also found the paragraph confusing.) Here is a source: https://newsroom.gendigital.com/Symantec-Completes-Sale-of-Enterprise-Security-Assets-to-Broadcom "The Company also announced that it has transferred the Symantec brand to Broadcom and changed its name to NortonLifeLock Inc. effective immediately." I suggest changing current "acquiring the Enterprise Security software division of Symantec for $10.7 billion, and the company became known as NortonLifeLock." to "acquiring the Enterprise Security software division of Symantec and Symantec brand for $10.7 billion, and the remaining company, formerly Symantec, became known as NortonLifeLock." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.222.23.214 (talk) 16:41, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
