I took the liberty of making a few corrections to this page, such as changing the mention of "BCBG" to "BCBG Max Azria", as they are two different labels. More may be warranted.

Fair use rationale for Image:Southparkmalllogo.JPG

Image:Southparkmalllogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Recent edits regarding "Largest in the Carolinas" claim

I recently reverted edits for a second time that changed SouthPark Mall from being the 'largest mall in the Charlotte area' to 'largest mall in the Carolinas'. The first time was because it was an uncited fact (and disputed by claims from other malls). I replaced it with 'the largest mall in the Charlotte area' because I was able to properly cite taht fact with a credible source (The Charlotte Business Journal). This most recent edit was reverted again because the source cited never actually contained any statements that supported the claim. What it says is that "Charlotte boasts the distinction of being the largest retail center in the Carolinas", but says nothing about the size of SouthPark Mall. If somebody can actually back up the statement that SouthPark Mall is the largest mall in both North and South Carolina then good and by all means replace the lesser fact about Charlotte (since 'Carolinas' covers all of 'Charlotte'). But aside from making sure that the source actually supports the claim, please make sure it's a credible source too. Too often, websites get their facts from Wikipedia which cyclically supports false claims. Fife Club (talk) 14:33, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Please learn some etiquette. If you see above, I didn't publicly accuse you of vandalism after you removed a properly cited fact for no reason. I respectfully addressed the issue on your talk page. Even when you then added a reference to a site that made zero references to the fact you were claiming and also deleted half of the article due to bad syntax, I still kept it on your talk page. Then you came back and ignored all of my help/warnings and screwed up this article for a third time in a row with two bad references and deleting half the article again (where's the history - oh it's all in the reference section now)... you then have the gall to come here and publicly accuse me of vandalism!? The nerve.

1) You cited a website as a reference that uses Wikipedia as it's source, which you can't do and I warned you about that in the message above but you ignored me again.

2) You screwed up your ref tags again, I gave you a link of how to do it properly and told you to either preview your edits or at least check that you didn't screw up the whole article before leaving it, and you ignored me again on both counts.

3) After three consecutive times of you screwing around with this article with bad source references (either none or to sites that don't say what you claim), and twice deleting half the article by accident - I'm tired of cleaning up after you. I'm not your momma. When you do multiple edits in a row and you mess things up as you did, I'm not to spend my time investigating whether or not one of the small edits in the middle may have actually been okay. You screwed up the article again so I reverted it back again.

Stop messing up the article and don't ever publicly accuse somebody of something that you should be handling privately on their talk page. Fife Club (talk) 22:12, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

You accused me of vandalism in the history page. I am sorry that I keep messing it up. I am very sorry. I know that SouthPark is the largest mall in the Carolinas, but I just cant find a source. I don't mean to delete half of the article. I am just trying to cite a reference. It just oddly does that. I am very sorry for what I did. I won't do it again. I just don't know how to do it. Okay. I added this link to your user talk page. In brief, simple references like just a website URL needs to have <ref> in front and closed with </ref> at the end too. Complete citations (more details than just an URL) are nice but not required. They would go between the ref tags and a list of citation templates can be found here.

I have no idea if SouthPark Mall is really the largest mall in the Carolinas or not. I searched too but couldn't find anything that didn't cite Wikipedia as its source. These things are common. As a related story, I and everybody I grew up with was always told that somebody famous lived in my hometown in the 1980s and I added that fact to Wikipedia years ago. I was sure of it and so were others. But in the end we collectively decided that we had to remove the statement because nobody could actually find any valid sources to cite as proof. So true or not, uncited statements sometimes need to be removed until a good source can be found.
