Viktor Kovalenko (footballer) → Viktor Kovalenko – The footballer is far more notable than the ice dancer [1] [2] Joeykai (talk) 06:46, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Is there anything to explain the surge in very recent interest in the footballer? GregKaye 12:55, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- He hit a hat trick against US U20s in World Cup qualifying. --BDD (talk) 14:50, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose for now - not convinced that the current interesti nthe footballer is sustainable. Difficult to see how someone who only just scrapes over the WP:NFOOTY notability guideline with 2 fully professional league appearances can genuinely be seen as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC just at the moment. Currently, bar the recent spike, they are both pretty insignificant at the moment. That could change, but see no reason to move at the moment. Fenix down (talk) 15:09, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Even ignoring the recent spike in views; going back to April 2015, the footballer still has much more page views than the ice dancer, 1310 vs 71.Joeykai (talk) 15:22, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, but more than half of those views were on four days in the month, another little spike. If you normalise, then your looking at about 15-8 views a day for the footballer compared to about 5 for the skater. I really don't think that you can use such small underlying views to justify primary topic. Fenix down (talk) 17:00, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Fenix down, your 15-8 vs 5 isn't accurate at all. Yes, more than half of those views were on four days. In the other 26 days of April the footballer got 612 page views, an average of 23.5 per day. The ice dancer had 71 page views in 30 days, an average of 2.4 per day. This shows a large difference and a clear primary topic even when ignoring the footballer's most viewed days.Joeykai (talk) 18:54, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose - no clear PRIMARYTOPIC. GiantSnowman 18:02, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, there is, GiantSnowman. See aboveJoeykai (talk) 18:54, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Wikipedia page views don't mean anything as far as primary topic is considered. One individual is not more notable than another simply because more people view their article, though the fact that very few people in he grand scheme of things view either suggests no real reason for any move. Fenix down (talk) 21:41, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Fenix down, Wikipedia exists for the readers. If at least 92% (not including spikes) of readers searching for "Viktor Kovalenko" want the footballer, then he is the primary topic. (And the footballer's page views do not indicate "very few people")Joeykai (talk) 21:49, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
- Twenty odd views a day is too small to draw any real conclusion, parochial when this is a player who is only just notable per the relevant guidelines. I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill here. Fenix down (talk) 21:53, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

- Oppose per Fenix, footballer barely notable, while the ice skater has multiple international competitions -- 70.51.202.183 (talk) 05:36, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Odds on we will be back here sometime in the future though. Jenks24 (talk) 07:03, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Viktor Kovalenko (footballer) → Viktor Kovalenko – primary topic. 6246 174 288 Joeykai (talk) 19:12, 22 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose - does seem to get more enWiki views than the ice dancer, but the fact remains from the previous RM that he has hardly played any professional football. I don't see a clear primary topic here yet. Fenix down (talk) 08:52, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose per June 2015 and Fenix down and WP:RECENTISM -- 70.51.44.60 (talk) 07:41, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
- Support. There are only two articles titled "Viktor Kovalenko" (as opposed to "Victor Kovalenko), and this one is clearly the primary topic of the two.--Cúchullain t/c 16:48, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
