Redesign of the Template

[edit]

I think that the template needs to be redesigned because of all the new categories like mother-ship, spin-off, spin-off sequel, world, escort, etc. Thedarkpp (talk) 18:43, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sword of Legendia

[edit]

It does not belong here. It was stated in the interview that it was not a tales game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedarkpp (talkcontribs) 18:53, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk belongs where?

[edit]

Okay I'm not going to start this into a revert war, but we need to decide if this belongs in the main series or not. Frankly I'm not sure anyone has any proof where it belongs, so we should decide or just leave it out for the time being.

I think that since it is a direct sequel to Tales of Symphonia that automatically makes it part of the main series. --74.132.94.122 03:10, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Main series. Regardless if its considered a sequel or spinoff to Symphonia, its part of the main series. There is no reason to list it as anything else. Its not a Tales of the World, Tales of Mobile, an MMORPG based on Symphonia, a remake, etc. In addition, it doesn't seem very different from Destiny 2 which is considered part of the main series. LordArcadio 15:13, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The fact is no one knows for sure whether this is part of the main series or a spinoff, one can only assume. So until we know for sure, why not just keep it as part of the main series? --Tsurayu 09:18, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's a sequel in the way Narikiri dungeon is to Phantasia. It's not in the main series. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.179.146.235 (talk) 20:52, 26 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Narikiri takes place 104 years after Phantasia but Ratatosk takes place only 2 years after Symphonia! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.78.113.16 (talk) 01:46, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, ND begins four years after the end of Phantasia. 209.87.207.251 15:17, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
ND is beside the fact, it is going to stay in the Main games because Namdai has been calling it part of the main series —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.78.113.16 (talk) 01:24, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No they haven't. They've said nothing like that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.179.124.94 (talk) 23:20, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I say leave it in the main series until Bamco announces enough information to determind rather this belongs to the main series or a spin-off. Start a vote on this and we can settle it via that. Miyuki 05:23, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who made the huge redesign of the template and why? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.78.113.16 (talk) 06:15, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check the edit history. Miyuki 06:33, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know why Ratatosk keeps moving but it should stay in the Main game section because it feels like a main game from what has been shown so far. Also it has not been said whether it is a main game or spinoff so just keep in the main game for now from the knowledge that we have about the game. And I side with Miyuki in that we should vote on it until we get a lot of decisive info about the game, instead of moving it every second. I vote for it being in the Main Game section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedarkpp (talkcontribs) 23:37, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'll start it then. Please vote under this comment with either Main or Sub and give a little comment about why you think it belongs there if you don't mind. Thedarkpp, I'll move your vote to above mine if you have no problem with it. Miyuki 03:44, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

--- How does confirming that Innocence is mothership also confirm that Ratatosk is an escort? Unless you have something calling Ratatosk an escort it's not "confirmed." Post a pic showing Ratatosk as escort. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.177.160.195 (talk) 01:09, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No one said anything about Innocence, it's not even represented on that picture. I have no idea what you're talking about so until you can make sense and prove that Namco is wrong at their own Tales conference, nothing has changed.--Claude (talk) 23:22, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the Template

[edit]

It will stay the same until you talk about it.

Alright, both http://touch-ds.jp/crv/vol7/005.html and the Japanese Wikipedia, have stated that series producer Makoto Yoshizumi announced two classes of Tales games, "Mother Ship Titles" and "Escort Titles". All of the main games up to Tales of the Abyss became "Mother Ship Titles", Tales of Innocence was also said to be a "Mother Ship Title", Tales of the Tempest was classified as an "Escort Title" thus removing it from the main series. As for ToS:KoR, it wasn't listed with the "Mother Ship Titles", so I moved it, but it wasn't specifically said to be an "Escort Title", so I guess there is the possibility that it's a "Mother Ship Title", Japanese Wikipedia lists it as an "Escort Title", but I'll just leave that one where it is, since the article didn't specifically mention ToS:KoR. Aoimusha (talk) 05:17, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I've always seen KoR as an escort title, a spin-off to Symphonia. The trailers for the game would have "Next Tales of" in it if it was a mothership title. All the mothership titles ever since Abyss have had that in it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.229.228 (talk) 08:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New 'Tales of' for the Wii

[edit]

Could people please stop adding what the name is rumored to be into this? "Tales of Bataille" and "Tales of Frontier" aren't confirmed names. Until Namco actually releases the title for this game, please refrain from adding it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.68.142.5 (talk) 14:17, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. There are many rumors saying that the name for the game is Tales of Gracia, but nothing has been confirmed yet. There's even a website that's "under construction". Until Namco reveals more information, don't add anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.193.229.228 (talk) 23:12, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The 'Anime' list is missing the following items: - Tales of Phantasia: The Animation (linking to Tales of Phantasia page --> OVA section) - Tales of Eternia anime (linking to Tales of Eternia page --> Anime section) - Tales of Symphonia: The Animation (linking to Tales of Symphonia page --> Anime section) 95.95.4.206 (talk) 13:33, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: The format of the navibox only lists games, anime (series & OVAs), and other topics that have their own Wikipedia articles. The three anime OVAs you mentioned do not have an independent Wikipedia article and are just sections in their respective game articles which is why they are not included in the navibox. If the OVAs were ever spun out into their own articles or if a "List of" episodes were created for them then they can be included in the anime section. [edit]

Suggested edit in the navbox that appears at the foot of all Tales pages: move Tales of the Tempest from Spin-Offs to the Main Series list (between Tales of Innocence and Tales of the Abyss) Reason: Tales of the Tempest is considered a Main title game even if it at first was considered a spin-off. The current navbox that lists the game in the spin-ff section contradicts the information from the wiki pages and should be fixed. 84.201.205.167 (talk) 11:40, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: the article suggests that Tales of the Tempest is now considered a spin-off, not a main title. Compassionate727 (T·C) 16:58, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
