Dre Buchanan, also known as William Andre Buchanan, Andre Buchanan, Dre-ILL, Dre-ILL Buchanan and William "Dre-ILL" Buchanan. Dre Buchanan is a music executive, composer, film financier, entrepreneur and marketing consultant. He is the Founder of ILL 4 Real Entertainment and Will Buchanan Investments. Previously Dre founded the record label Ooh Wee Entertainment. Currently, Dre Buchanan is working in Film finance and production on films ranging from $250k to $60 million dollar budget independent films, providing financing along with branding and visibility services, matching industry professionals and productions with product placement and sponsorship. In his spare time he is involved in various community activities globally but primarily in his home town of Chicago were he serves as a mentor for young African Americans in an attempt to combat the growing violence that plague the streets of Chicago. He has participated in community events such as Isiah Thomas Peace Basketball Tournament, with father Michael Pfleger, Jabari Parker and Sonny Parker, Rajon Rondo and others in the filming of a future coming documentary called the "Chi Love Experience".

[edit]Dre Buchanan was born in Toyko, Japan, the second child of two military veterans Sharon and Les Buchanan of the United States Air force. His parents divorced in 1975 and he was raised in a single parent household by his mother. He grew up inthe urban area maily on the southside of Chicago. Dre Buchanan's family has a strong musical background with lineage through the Buchanan familysingers & The Staples Singers from which he shares the same family tree with Oprah Winfrey. Dre Buchanan attended Hyde Park Career Academy and excelled in academics and baseball. Dre Buchanan majored in Electrical Engineering Northern Illinois University, receiving his bachelors degree in 1999 and is also a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Dre Buchanan worked cooperate as an project engineer then project manager with Underwriters laboratories UL, Applied controls and Contracting Services and Transit Television Network
Professional entetainment career[edit]
[edit]1999–2002: Ooh Wee Entertainment[edit]
[edit]Started in 1999, Ooh Wee Entertainment was later changed to ILL 4 Real Entertainment for fear of being associated with No Limit Record label and their founder Master P. It is rumored that Master P got his idea for the release of his Ooh Wee song and promotional tour after hearing what was then an up an coming group called INF (ILL Noyse Family) under Ooh Wee Entertainment where artist would frequently utter the "Ooh Wee" phase in recorded music and live performances in the Chicago-land and midwest area.
2003–Present: ILL 4 Real Entertainment[edit]
[edit]Dre Buchanan spent a brief time in the spotlight releasing 2 hip hop albums including regional underground hit titled "Pay Me aka F. U. Pay me". He began producing music and worked with several production groups to produce independent and major artist most notably production duo Spike & Jamahl in the early 2000’s where they had placement with several artist including Rocafella Records, Missy Elliot, The Diplomats, and Monica with the hit song “So Gone” which was nominated for a Soul Train Music Award. He along with sister and former Death Row & Motown Artist, Jocelyn Buchanan (B.G.O.T.I ) pioneered a new Genre of music called Rhythm & Inspiration (R&I) promoting positive uplifting lyrics over rhythmic music. This movement, kick started by a successful "Nothing But Love" crowd funding campaign has led to several independent placements and international music awards.
Dre Buchanan moved on to produce background music for film and tv. In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles and developed a reputation for event production and promotion around the largest national events including Grammys, Oscars, NBA All-Star weekend, The Superbowl, BET Awards, NSBE National conventions, Media Arts and Entertainment Convention and several charity events around the worlds prominent figures like Magic Johnson, Alonzo Mourning, Dwight Freeny, Bo Jackson and many others.
Dre Buchanan, spending his life primarily behind the scene, has been mistakenly confused for controversial Ivy League rapper also known as Dre Buchanan.

Entrepreneurship and Investing[edit]
[edit]In July 2008, Dre Buchanan launched Will Buchanan Investments. The company was opened to provide start up and working capital to small businesses primarily serving under developed communities. Investment portfolio included Fashion, Media, The Auto Industry, Real Estate, Food and Beverage, Entertainment and Medical.
