I'm a core developer for the RepRap community. The RepRap community aims to develop an open source 3D printer that is affordable and can create most of its own parts. I am a regular contributor to digital physical object repository Thingiverse, which I call the "Wikipedia for physical objects". I'm on a quest to extend peer production, as described by Yochai Benkler, beyond just information products. I do this by helping create an environment where people can materialize their ideas through personal digital fabrication. I help RepRap with infrastructure (servers) and have given away hundreds of parts to make more RepRap 3D printers.
I frequently blog about the RepRap project and have given several talks on the subject of user innovation, RepRap, 3D printing.
