Meesha Garbett (born 12 June 2008) is a British Actress, Dancer and Singer. Meesha has been in Multiple Films and rose to prominence when she starred as "THE RED BERET GIRL" (Hortensia) in the film Matilda: The Musical (2022). Her famous dance scene has had 100's of Millions of views on social media.
Early life[edit]
Meesha Garbett was born in Telford, Shropshire, on 12th June 2008, She attended Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Primary School, Meesha started Dancing at the age of 3, Winning her First British Street Dance title at the Age of 7, Meesha has Been a British Street Dance Champion now 5 times and a British contemporary freestyle Dance Champion twice, Her Biggest titles include 2 Time World Street Dance Champion and World Popping Battle Champion. Meesha appeared at the Royal Albert Hall performing the "NUTCRACKER" ballet at the age of 7, Also aged 7 Meesha danced on Stage for Justin Bieber in front of a 70,000 Crowd at London's Hyde Park. Meesha moved to London to attend the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School at the age of 11, where she currently still resides. Meesha has 1 sibling.
Career
Meesha was thirteen when she was cast as the "Hortensia" aka "The Red Beret GIrl" in the film adaptation of Matilda the Musical for Netflix,
in 2017 Meesha performed as a Dancer for Lady Leshurr in her Hit Music video "JUICE"
Meesha's First TV Appearance was on Itv The Big Audition in 2018 To Be a Member of Kidz Bop She came in the top 4
in 2018 Meesha performed as a Child "Choreographer" for George Ezra "Pretty Shinning People" Music Video
in 2020 Meesha appeared in the series We Hunt Together on the BBC
in 2022 Meesha was Lead dance for Dance Crew IMD LEGION who got to the live Semi Finals on Britain's Got Talent
Also in 2022 Meesha was part of Team UK Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 as a Backing singer and Dancer
2024 Meesha was a guest judge alongside Emma Willis on the BBC program "STYLE IT OUT"
