IT Industry:
1987-1989 Mainframe operator for HM Treasury at Chessington Computer Centre in Chessington, Surrey UK.
The Centre provided payroll services to 70 large civil service customers processing over 170,000 salaries every month. The centre used a number of ICL Mainframes series 29 & 39 before shutting in the nineties. The ex-base is now a housing estate.
Sean joined the Reed group of companies in 1989 working on ICL series 39 mainframes. Roles undertaken have included Shift Leader, Computer Operations Analyst, I.T Systems Administrator, Systems Development Manager, Technical Manager and currently Head of I.T Services for Reed Specialist Recruitment.
Sean helped setup Reed.co.uk in 1995. Reed.co.uk is now the UK’s largest job website with over several hundred thousand of jobs online, millions of jobs are viewed each month; over a million job applications are processed each month; several million registered users and more than a million unique visitors per month http://www.reed.co.uk
