The Land Trust of North Alabama is a 501(c)(3) land trust organization which owns and maintains preserved land throughout North Alabama, primarily in Madison County. It currently operates 11[1] properties open to the public offering a variety of amenities, including picnic areas and trails for hiking and mountain biking. Its largest property, the Monte Sano Nature Preserve, is one of the largest urban land preserves in the United States.
