License tagging for Image:Wikipe-tan full length.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Wikipe-tan full length.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:10, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh my god! You have dared to edit a template I created and actualy improved it! For that you will be punished with a barnstar award. I actualy noticed that problem and was not sure how to solve it. :) --Cat out 17:05, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Furthermore, I was wondering if you would "apply" it to other such navigation templates? An incomplete list is avalible at Wikipedia:WikiProject Countries/Templates/Navboxes. --Cat out 17:05, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- No problem, except converting the templates on the Countries/Footers page might take a while. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 17:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Deleting Trinity attendees?
Hey, was wondering if you went to Trinity ... if there was a reason for deleting Joseph Sahid from the notable attendees list ? UnderPressure 22:54, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you are referring to the Trinity School (New York City), according to the page history, it was 68.174.174.63 who removed the entry for Joseph F. Sahid. [2] The only thing I did was remove Template:New York City from that article because it was not linked from the navigation box template. [3] Zzyzx11 (Talk) 23:30, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thanks Zzyzx11 for catching a lot of the vandalism lately with the articles on NFL officials. --RyguyMN 01:47, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Departments template
Hello - just wanted to ask about your change to the {{Template:Departments of France}} - I had just changed it the week before along with a couple other French department/prefecture templates to give them all the same style - you can see how this looked to the bottom of the Paris article. Was there some sort of technical reason that I am not aware of? Also I don't really see the utility of having a link to the template's talk page in its title bar... anyhow, cheers. thepromenader 16:20, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Just had a look upstairs and I see what you mean. I hope you don't mind if I revert until we can get the templates at least looking/spacing the same - It would be good to switch either all or none for question of uniformity - but changing the 'communes' template was a real chore as it was a template in three levels and it is used in very many articles. I'll have a closer look at the latest version and see what work there will be behind a complete change. Thanks for your understanding and permission. thepromenader 17:15, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Now that's a coincidence. I saw your addition of the San Diego template just when I was leaving a note on the La Jolla page. Cheers! thepromenader 22:53, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- It is because I am heavily involved in the California navigation templates; which led me to modifying Template:Navigation Template, which led me to my interaction with Cool Cat; which led me to modify the French template... Zzyzx11 (Talk) 23:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Fatalframe2wika.jpg
You sent me a post concerning the image Image:Fatalframe2wika.jpg from the Fatal Frame category and wanted to know it's copyright status.
It actually is being used under fairuse status like it's other two counterpart pictures. Image:Zero00.jpg and Image:Zero300.jpg
The image is a lesser known image from the game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, that was distributed by Tecmo Inc to game websites to promote the upcoming game. :)
Hopefully that helps? I'm still very new to wikipeida, so I'm still having some time figuring out the editting system etc. :)

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
Hello Zzyzx11! Oh, what a complicated name. Thank you for your diligence with the article about the Pittsburgh Steelers. I reverted it to an older but still flawed version. I was not careful enough. Luckily, you saw my mistake. So I first wanted to give you the Barnstar of Diligence, but as I saw your many good contributions I think "The Tireless Contributor Barnstar" is more appropriate. Need
Hello. I noticed that the Template:Orange County, California page was in turmoil, and was subsequently blocked. Would you mind unblocking it for I have introduced a solution which is on the talk page. It solves all the space concerns, as well as the concerns of including all the communities. OC31113 01:15, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- As of now, I am in no position to unprotect that page. First, others have to comment in order to form a consensus. And second, Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Ericsaindon2 is still open; it is suspected that one of the parties in the template's edit dispute was a sockpuppet of Ericsaindon2, and the other was a sockpuppet of Coolcaesar. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 01:44, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I am looking through the templates, and I see no consistency except that all the infoboxes are square. Some are divided into population, others are just a list, some are divided into CDP's/and cities. I know it looks a bit different than others, but is actually very appealing, and a much better format than it currently stands. Just, give it a chance to see some reaction from the puplic, for I do not see any reason to disagree with it. (It is kind of like the existing San Diego Communities Template). It is the perfect solution, and should be used. OC31113 05:11, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- The talk page is open to the public for comment and opinions. It is just that, as I wrote above, I do not think the template should be unprotected until the ArbCom makes a final judgement on the Ericsaindon2 case (especially since you have been accused of being a sockpuppet of Ericsaindon2 too). Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:16, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- So here's the deal: One of the warring parties on the template was User:Anaheimat. On the ArbCom case page, if you remember, Ericsaindon2 accused Anaheimat of being a sockpuppet of Coolcaesar. Coolcaesar then charged that you were sockpuppet of Ericsaindon2. Of course, if you read Template talk:Orange County, California#Other Neightborhoods and Communities Section, Will Beback and BlankVerse previously made comments about the template during the edit war. Therefore, it would look very bad for my own interests if I unprotected the template before I get a final word from ArbCom whether I should even consider your request to unprotect or not. Do you see the bind I am in? Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, I do see your mess. I am just not sure how I got all mixed up in this web. Ok, I know it is a tough predicament, and I will wait until the end of the case to reissue the proposal of the infobox again. OC31113 18:49, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Neighborhoods in San Diego
How do I add neighborhoods that aren't currently listed? I added this box to Mission Hills, but I don't know how to get Mission Hills into the box.Orayzio 20:19, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I put alot of hard work into those infoboxes, and the lack of the images there greatly decreases from them. It's been hard enough trying to find non-copyrighted images, can you explain how this FUC thing can be amended so the article doesn't look even worse? I'm slightly frustrated, thanks. Attic Owl 03:04, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- With the negative karma people like Kelly Martin are racking up, Wikipedia will probably eventually be sued anyway, if not for copyrights, then for a violation of something like one of those new cyber bullying laws they have in the UK -- I wish they had some here in the US, or at least wherever Wikipedia's servers are.
Also, you'd think out of the billion users on here that there'd be at least one intellectual property lawyer willing to help out. I guess the collaborative spirit ends at the edit button, eh? Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll probably just abandon that article I guess. I'm not sure. Attic Owl 08:55, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Misunderstanding
My apologies, with the FUC thing, I personally don't care about the merge anymore, they can merge away. Before that, I thought it could be featured, but i've lost hope in that happening for that article. Attic Owl 00:31, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
DYK minor grammar point
You edited the current DYK template with (one pictured) after the mention of DNA clamp proteins. This is an extremely minor point of grammar, and the template will probably be refreshed soon anyway - but technically it should probably just say "pictured", because the image is actually an assembled trimer. NFL disambig pages
Zz, noticed that you formatted the page that pops up when one enters "Steelers" into the wiki search. Pittsburgh is alphabetically near the bottom. I can see the logic of the format for the disambig pages (though I think it is bordering on insanity to put an NFL team near the bottom, let alone one that has millions of fans in latin america, tons in asia and dozens of fan clubs in Europe).
Just that wouldn't drive me to write u though, seems when you put in "Browns" into wiki search, you are taken to the Cleveland Browns article with the disambig on top, ran this for the Cowboys and Giants and similar to form with the Steelers. What I would suggest is that all NFL teams, especially ones that go back generations be the redirects and disambigs be left out unless there is a team or organization or definition larger then even an NFL team "giants" or "cowboys" might fall under that. Small point I know, but my 2 cents. Either way the Browns should really be changed to match Wikiformat IMHO, any greenlight on that, trust me as a Steelers faithful I'd be more then happy to do it. Hholt01 17:37, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply! Appreciate your insight . . . I wonder how a discussion on the disambig page would determine if the Pittsburgh team should be the default, I have also thought of possibly giving an entry for "Steeler" as a group of people, labor group and occupation. Thanks again. Hholt01 06:15, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
for some unknown reason user packerfan22 reverted it back to the old imageSmith03 05:12, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted it back. The new Vikings horn design on the helmet is subtle, but I do not know why packerfan22 made that change when I clearly described the new additions on the image page. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:16, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

- As per Wikipedia:Three-revert rule#Enforcement:
If you violate the three-revert rule, after your fourth revert in 24 hours, sysops may block you for up to 24 hours. In the cases where multiple parties violate the rule, administrators should treat all sides equally.
- I currently only see three by Ixnay on the edit history of the page regarding the disputed paragraph within the past 24 hours. One more will require a block. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 20:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

NFL team-season articles
I've started to scratch out the elements of the proposed 2006 (NFL Team) season articles in my sandbox. More than likely the 2005 season articles will take shape easier, just by virtue of the fact that the season is complete. Thoughts? —Twigboy 15:44, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Wikify
I am currently working on adding the starting lineups for each Super Bowl to their appropriate pages. They are not "cut and pasted" from any where else I took them from The Football Encyclopedia: The Complete History of Professional Football from 1892 to the Present Neft, David S., Cohen, Richard M., and Korch, Rick published in 1994. As I did not like any of the templates or tables Wikipedia uses I had to do them by copying and typing each from the book. Along with spacing them and keeping the columns lined up in the right spot. It is taking me quite a while. My plan is to add all the lineups then make links for each player. I will make wikilinks of each of the players after I have done all the Super Bowls. If you would like to help if you change Bradshaw to Bradshaw the spacing and identations will remain the same and it will be a link. Quadzilla99 16:04, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Comments at Talk:San Diego Chargers
Hi. I know you have been involved at this article. It's still on my talk page from a while ago when I did a dab repair and I noticed all of the comments on the talk page. Things seem to really be degenerating; perhaps some additional administrative action may be in order? --After Midnight 0001 00:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response. I hope that you don't think that I was suggesting that you had not taken any action. I specifically contacted you because I did see that you had protected the article. Your reasons for not taking further action seem very sound and I appreciate you taking the time to explain. Regards. --After Midnight 0001 01:26, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
