Oops - I made a bad edit reverting you. Sorry. (I hit the wrong "rollback" link which is why there was no Edit Summary) I thought you had inserted the item, which has no reference, instead of fixed its markup. I have removed it, which is what I meant to do. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 00:02, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Kikichugirl: Was this meant to be given to 202.82.17.237? I don't ever remembering making any "vandalism" edits, much less any time this month. Plus, I noticed you were reverting vandalism by them on a page where I fixed up some minor vandalism that got left there. Booyahhayoob (talk) 17:31, 24 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Right to life. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 21:19, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Binksternet: Please explain to me how restoring an intro paragraph that has stayed on the page for years and was only removed because an IP's only edit decided to violate "Blanking, illegitimate" of WP:VANDTYPES is unconstructive. And why would this constitute a level two warning when this could just as easily be resolved by a simple written out message? Booyahhayoob (talk) 21:51, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake! I should have realized that the article needs its intro paragraph. I focused instead on the three-year-old fact tag, which should not have been restored if the text was part of the article body. However, the text is the lead section and should be a simple summary supported by the article body text. I will revert myself, except that I will remove the fact tag.
I settled upon a level 2 warning because I saw another level 2 warning given to you a few months ago. Sorry about that. Binksternet (talk) 22:41, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Binksternet: Oh, okay. Don't worry about it, mistakes happen. Twice in a row now, with the exact same warning level! XD Booyahhayoob (talk) 22:47, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A new copy-paste detection bot is now in general use on English Wikipedia. Come check it out at the EranBot reporting page. This bot utilizes the Turnitin software (ithenticate), unlike User:CorenSearchBot that relies on a web search API from Yahoo. It checks individual edits rather than just new articles. Please take 15 seconds to visit the EranBot reporting page and check a few of the flagged concerns. Comments welcome regarding potential improvements. Thanks for you help with this edit [1]. We are at Wikimania improving this bot, please keep checking it out.--Lucas559 (talk) 17:04, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

CSD tagging

[edit]

While tagging an article for WP:CSD, make sure that it meets the CSD criteria. This tag is inappropriate, because "insignificant show" is not a valid CSD criterion, and in fact I don't think the article meets any of the CSD criteria. SSTflyer 10:52, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, thanks. Just wasn't sure what to tag it as, 'cause it looks like it can be tagged as an article for deletion. Just didn't know which deletion tag to use. Booyahhayoob (talk) 10:53, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited My Wish, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Target. Thanks for uploading File:Disciple Long Live the Rebels Artwork.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.

Declined speedy deletion nomination of Robert Izsak

[edit]

Hello Booyahhayoob. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Robert Izsak as an article that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the topic under CSD A7. That criterion did not apply because to have played for notable teams is a credible indication of "importance or significance". Remember that CSD A7 is a lower standard than what is required to demonstrate notability – it does not, for example, require that the article's text already contain citations to reliable sources that would be necessary to prove notability, but only that it contain a claim that, were it true, might reasonably make the subject a valid encyclopaedia topic (if proper sourcing could later be found). Deletion discussion about Camp Camp

[edit]

Hello, Booyahhayoob,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Camp Camp should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Camp Camp .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Steve Quinn (talk) 02:59, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I see. I apologize for that very stupid and rather blatant disregard for Wikipedia rules (you know I'm new). Notice

The article Manuel Miranda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Incidental political player in the news a little bit at the moment. BLP-1E and NOTNEWS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Take part in a survey

[edit]

Hi Booyahhayoob

We're working to measure the value of Wikipedia in economic terms. We want to ask you some questions about how you value being able to edit Wikipedia.

Our survey should take about 10-15 minutes of your time. We hope that you will enjoy it and find the questions interesting. All answers will be kept strictly confidential and will be anonymized before the aggregate results are published. Regretfully, we can only accept responses from people who live in the US due to restrictions in our grant-based funding.

As a reward for your participation, we will randomly pick 1 out of every 5 participants and give them $25 worth of goods of their choice from the Wikipedia store (e.g. Wikipedia themed t-shirts). Note that we can only reward you if you are based in the US.

Click here to access the survey: http://ucla.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bI9nxWdVDoNZZKR

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
