i'm very new to this but love wikipedia! I'm just trying to set up a page for a local band i love called elysium. ==Notability of Elysium (Band)==
A tag has been placed on Elysium (Band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Elysiumfan (talk) 00:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Elysium band
[edit]I have nominated Elysium band, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elysium band. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Elysium (Band). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Roleplayer (talk) 00:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Elysium (band), you will be blocked from editing. Roleplayer (talk) 00:49, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
could you tell me what im doing wrong please? im only trying to make a page for a band i like....
You're recreating a page after it has been speedily deleted multiple times for not making an assertion of importance and you have not addressed the issue for which it was deleted. This is considered disruptive behaviour should you continue to recreate the page without addressing the issue for which it was deleted. Redfarmer (talk) 01:03, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Ok dude, i apreciate your reply so thankyou. But could you tell me what it is i'm doing wrong?
- Basically you are not providing any verifiable sources to explain why the band is notable enough for an encyclopedia. -- Roleplayer (talk) 01:08, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
