[edit]Hello there and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions, I just found the David S. Sampson article which is a very well written and referenced piece of work, and after cleaning it up a little I thought I'd come over here and offer you a few tips.
- All Wikipedia articles need to be categorised so that they can be found more easily. Appropriate categories can easily be found by browsing the Categorical Index.
- It's a good idea to make sure you include as many internal links as possible, which are created by placing two square brackets around the phrase ([[example]]). Sometimes, it may be necessary for the text of the link to be different from the title of the page it's linking to, this is done like [[target|caption]], so [[dinosaur|example]] creates a link to the page "dinosaur" with the text example.
- You were almost there with the references list, but there's a far easier way of doing it! Wherever you want to add a reference, add <ref>[url]</ref> (for just a website link), <ref>[url caption]</ref> (for a URL and a description), or <ref>[caption]</ref> (for just text, such as the newspaper article reference in yours). The numbers in superscript appear automatically at these points. Then, under your sources header, add {{reflist}}, and it'll list them there, numbering them in the order they appear in the article.
