Re: A presentation on WikiConference Seoul
[edit]Hey, good to hear from you. Yes, I'd love to attend and do a presentation about teaching with Wikipedia in Korea. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:33, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- User:Piotrus, it's cool. I will add your session to our program. Can you give me a draft for your presentation before the event? I will translate it into Korean and distribute to the Korean attendees. --Motoko C. K. (talk) 07:17, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- About 20 minutes will be arranged to you --Motoko C. K. (talk) 07:23, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- I will base it on the (revised) version of https://prezi.com/yfzh8bhnmtf7/teaching-with-wikipedia-2015/ --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:28, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- good, I will read it. --Motoko C. K. (talk) 07:30, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- User:Piotrus, the document is under CC BY-SA 3.0 unported? If it is, can you correct from "CC BY-SA" to "CC BY-SA 3.0 unported" in your script? I wanna upload the traslated version onto Korean Wikipedia. --Motoko C. K. (talk) 07:35, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think media wiki accepts Prezi uploads :( I will see about correcting the license soon! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:00, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- User:Piotrus, OK, if you cannot correct your license on Prezi, I ask you to distribute your script under any license that allows to translate or to clarify the version of CCL. If you do that, we can upload the translate version on other web service. --Motoko C. K. (talk) 08:20, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Promotion: sadly, I have no idea how to promote anything at the university level :( All the instructions are in Korean :( --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:14, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- OK, I will call the university for my self. Thank you very much! --Motoko C. K. (talk) 18:37, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- I have updated the Prezi ([1]) to say CC BY-SA 3.0 unported per your request. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:23, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
- Also, would it be possible to move my presentation as close as possible to the closing ceremony? Since I presume all other presentations will be in Korean, unless translation is provided, as much as I'd love to sit through the entire series of lectures, the ending ceremony & reception is the only event that makes sense I attend, in addition to my own presentation, of course. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:42, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, I will move your session. I've never thought about that :) --Motoko C. K. (talk) 06:35, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Motoko C. K.. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, GAZUA, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
TheLongTone (talk) 15:13, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article GAZUA is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/GAZUA until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. TheLongTone (talk) 15:24, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 10
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Pyeongchang County, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gangwon (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:39, 10 February 2018 (UTC)
Education and government
[edit]Hi Motoko. I've noticed your COI tags, and your edits. As you know, I have students do similar edits (ex. they expanded the page about Ansan). Perhaps the local government people who asked you to help them out would be interested in cooperating with me and my students? I would be happy to ask the students to make edits to Korean government pages in English and Korean, that perhaps you could review (in Korean). This way we could improve many more articles than you can do alone. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:35, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Good idea. I will consider it. --Motoko C. K. (talk) 15:39, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
re: Government and Education
[edit]I could help but I would need to know more. What kind of information is the city interested in? Anything related to Daegu? Do they have a list of topics (monuments, other places, overview topics like history of... , economy of..., etc.)? What is the timetable? My students have already chosen articles for the current Spring 2018 semester, so I doubt I can do much until the next semester. Would a course in Fall 2018 or Spring 2019 be good for them? Are they prepared to offer any rewards for students - stickers, diplomas, etc.? Maybe they can sponsor or send us some books / magazines / etc.? Or even some electronic documents for students to study? Are they going to release pictures under free license for students to use? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:36, 26 April 2018 (UTC)
