Information icon Hello, PequodOnStationAtLZ. I noticed that your recent edit to 1962 Texas gubernatorial election added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 03:45, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Oscar García Rivera, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 06:10, 27 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Currently I'm trying to focus on editing a hand full of Wikipedia articles. currently two articles I'm focusing on are the Social-Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and Tavern League of Wisconsin. My question is, do you have experience uploading images to Wikipedia? If so is it possible you could upload some images for me? Zyxrq (talk) 20:39, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work

I've noticed that we edit and add to the same types of articles related to California. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to editing Wikipedia!... especially for making my articles better lol. - NewishIdeas

Thank you for creating page for 2003 SF District Attorney Election

[edit]

I was thrilled to see your wiki page on the 2003 SF DA Election and that you chose 2 of my wikimedia photos (Hallinan and Fazio). This was my intention when I made the photos 20-25 years ago: that the photos be used for information when needed. The photos I want to see are straight representation: a face with two eyes, a nose and a mouth with one or two ears showing. It seems to me that the award-winning newspaper photographers all want to shoot esoteric photos with a 'decisive moment' which sometimes don't include a face that you can identify. In 2003, Kamala Harris handed out a professional photo of herself to the mass media ( with catch lights in the eyes and perfect makeup), while Terrence Hallinan and Bill Fazio, her opponents in the DA race had few photos. White men need representation, too. Edmunddantes (talk) 23:00, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for leaving that message, Nancy. It made my day. As someone with a deep love for politics and the city of San Francisco, I'm deeply jealous of the fact you've gotten to photograph all these people over the years. One of the main reasons I made an account on here was because of how important it is, I think, to put faces to names. There were and still are so many fascinating people this site has profiled that don't have pictures, and every time I get to fix that it makes me feel like I'm doing something that matters. To me, a good picture tells just as much as a good biography. PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 03:10, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Marc Anthony (California politician, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dan arndt (talk) 23:22, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, that page was meant as a redirect to a California State Legislature page, but it was missing a parenthesis so a new article had to be made. That one can be deleted. PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 23:24, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The 50,000 Challenge

[edit]
You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here!

Hello Pequod,

I thought you might be interested in joining since you're interested in history and biographies. You can add all of the biographies and US events you created to the project if you'd like. There are also specific state subgroups. I added the tags used to the William F. White talk page, and you can add them to the previous pages you created as well.

Let me know if you have any questions. Bpuddin (talk) 04:20, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, that sounds awesome! Went ahead and added myself to the page. Thanks for clueing me in! PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 17:14, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, PequodOnStationAtLZ,

Do not change redirects to point to non-existent pages. If you do that, they will be deleted as broken redirects which would be a mistake. If you alter a redirect, please ensure that it points to an existing target article. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:39, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

i'm in the middle of making the article now. PequodOnStationAtLZ (talk) 02:40, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Paul Lange (German politician). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:24, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
