Forum

[edit]

Hello Tigerli.acr, please note Wikipedia:Weblinks - no forum. Regards --Serols (talk) 15:43, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Serols, Railways of Germany is a discussion forum whose purpose is to research and discuss all aspects of German Railways. Links to this website have been established in the Wikipedia over the last 10 years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tigerli.acr (talkcontribs)
Even if the links were linkable as such WP:ELNO #13 comes into play, where we do not link from specific articles to a general Website. Agathoclea (talk) 16:27, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Serols. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Rekonstruktionslokomotive— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Serols (talk) 15:53, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am simply updating External links to the latest URL of the same website. By reversing my contributions you are reinstating an URL which will soon be no longer valid. These relevant links were created by user Bermicourt over 10 years ago. As a very significant contributor, I can assume he has always complied with the rules. @Bermicourt: for input Agathoclea (talk) 16:48, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I added the links in good faith at the time because they were to a discussion site with relevant information about German railways. However, I now understand that Wikipedia isn't keen on links to forums, so I no longer add them. Whether to remove or update these particular links is a decision I'm happy to leave to other editors. ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Tigerli.acr. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
