Ashaji

Hey! Utcursch, as you are an editor of Asha Bhosle's article, please help. Anish mishra (talk · contribs) keeps adding some fangush which is extremely badly written, as well as unsourced and non-notable - just nonsense. I've warned him several times, with no results - he keeps doing the same. His edits can be easily considered sneaky/hidden vandalism as per WP:VANDAL. Request your action on the matter. Regarding Gurjar and Rajputs

Please edit all the articles which claim tomars, pratihars and chauhan kings to be Rajputs. They were Gujjars , see the following ref.

Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland

By Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland Published 1834 The Society Original from the University of California Digitized Mar 16, 2007 Page No. 5 to 34

http://allempires.com/forum/uploads/20070625_065952_page5_1.GIF

please check these links and try to understand how these rajputs are trying to snatch our proud history. They got high ranks due to their submission to moghals and britishers, they were awarded as the rank of kings and higher positions in the society , all the gujjars history was attributed to them. Gujars were always fighting against Invaders be it moghals or britishers and they lost ehir everything. Thats the only reason why gujjars or present day are a bit lowly in the social standings am compared to rajputs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashokharsana (talkcontribs) 07:13, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed that you were involved in the edit of this article [1]. Since you seem to be an experienced wikipedia user I was wondering if you could look at it and at the Khalistani revisionist edit-warring by two Khalistani users Princhest and Roadahead. I do not believe that, per WP:TIGERS, such extremist views should be touted on a wikipedia article, which must be balanced and reflect scholarly consensus (as this version does). An experienced hand is required to contain the trolls involved there. Thanks.Goingoveredge (talk) 06:52, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Dear Utcursch, I object to your freezing of the article "Gandhi Behind the Mask of Divinity" to the user: Goingoveredge's unsubstantiated claims and allegations on the article. Being an admin, it should not be hard for you to decipher how flawed user: Goingoveredge's edits are. He is calling the author "Khalistani", he's calling other 2 editors "extremist", "khalistani" and what not. Why are you encouraging this kind of behavior on Wikipedia? By freezing the article you are taking part with user: Goingoveredge to spread wrong information to the entire world of readers of Wikipedia. Do you agree with him that the author G. B. Singh should be called "Khalistani" on the article? Did you read the discussion page of this article before freezing the article to user: Goingoveredge's needs? I object, this behavior is not characteristics of Wikipedia adminship and hope that you will read the entire discussion before further encouraging the behavior of editor's such as user: Goingoveredge. Regards, --Roadahead (talk) 16:33, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Are these kinds of comments acceptable?[2][3] Seems like Bad faith at best. Is being neutral now called "anti-Sikh"?Goingoveredge (talk) 22:36, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Utcursch, since you are continually acting in favor of name calling and vandalizing activities of user: Goingoveredge and skipped discussion on objections raised an RFC had to be filed on your use of admin powers here

Hello,
I noticed your edits on the page on the Caste system among South Asian Muslims. I live in Russia, and I am interested in the history of Asia. This article was a discovery for me, since I have never heard before about this caste system.
I’d appreciate if you can answer my question. Now Al Qaeda is active in some regions of Pakistan. What is Al Qaeda’s intention towards the caste system among Pakistani Muslims: do they support it, ignore, condemn or simply do not want to intervene? --Dmitri Lytov (talk) 12:58, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your comment. Some more questions, if possible: 1) how many languages of India do you know (I noticed links to several language sections on your page), and 2) how many languages is it usual for an average Indian citizen to know? --Dmitri Lytov (talk) 07:31, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll read the book. --Dmitri Lytov (talk) 07:06, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Talk:Atul Chitnis

A tag has been placed on Talk:Atul Chitnis, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Talk:Atul Chitnis|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. svaksha (talk) 08:59, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Question about reversions and page histories

Hi, Utcursch. I am looking at the page history for Serge Schmemann and I see that you've rolled back three consecutive vandalizations. (This would be about a year ago...) But I don't see the actual edits themselves. If I walk through the diff pages, all I see is your reversions. I assume this is a normal protocol for BLP, but I can't find anything about it in the policy pages. Can you tell me what's going on? Thanks, Ethan Mitchell (talk) 18:00, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the link, but I'm still a little confused. You aren't listed as an oversight user, so did your edits occur after oversight occured? And is it customary for oversight edits to be described in the edit histories? Ethan Mitchell (talk) 14:05, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Bandar-log

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Bandar-log, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 05:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

The article talks about linguistic divides and language issues. The external links being added are articles by a renowned expert and deal specifically with the history of the linguistic divides and language issues in the country. It provides context and aids the reader in understanding the history of language politics in India. It is being added as an EL because it has content that cannot be integrated into the article due to the "amount of detail" and other reasons. At the same time it is a well-written, authoritative and informative account pertinent to the content of the article. As long as the article talks about the language issues and linguistic divides, the articles by Guha are perfectly justified in the External links. Sarvagnya 18:55, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi Utcusrch

Please pay your kind attention to article Sikh Extremism written by User Talk: Satanoid alias His Biography alias User talk:90.192.59.43 (his previous IP) alias User Talk: 90.196.3.37 alias User Talk: 90.196.3.246. His past and new acts have been duly documented by several editors on User Talk: Master of Puppets in several sections. This respected user with extremist ediology was blocked several times.--Singh6 (talk) 08:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

He had tried getting permission from User Talk: Master of Puppets to create this article and instead he has received a warning with heading "Hi Again". He has come up with this account after getting numerous warnings to his three IPs, i.e. 90.196.3.37, 90.196.3.246 and 90.192.59.43.

Sikh Extremism means using an abusive word for an entire religion, which is definitely a POV article. I strongly believe that this POV article should be deleted.--Singh6 (talk) 08:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Even Admin User talk:DJ Clayworth has called this article an Insult to Wikipedia.--Singh6 (talk) 09:18, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
