Don't think there is enough sources or information to prove notability here, borderline Speedy but it's been around since 2006 so worth a 2nd opinion. James of UR (talk) 05:25, 3 May 2021 (UTC)

- Keep - Searching for sources is difficult because there's a lot of false positives regarding vehicle maintenance. The sources definitely do exist however. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 08:40, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Delete it's a makety-uppity. Best Alexandermcnabb (talk) 14:39, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Keep - It's an important article nevertheless, it just needs to be improved upon/given some sources DrawWikiped(talk) 19:50, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Keep As noted, searching for sources turns up a lot of false positives. That being said, searching for
"brake checking"
(with quotation marks) makes it somewhat easier to find relevant sources, and adding keywords such as dangerous, illegal, or accident also helps quite a bit. I found the research article Defense Against the Dark Cars: Design Principles for Griefing of Autonomous Vehicles which goes into some detail about how autonomous vehicles might deal with such behaviour from other drivers, an article by ABC7 about the legality of it in California, some news articles about accidents caused by brake checking such as this one, and a whole plethora of lawyers (presumably, though of course anyone can claim to be a lawyer on the internet) offering legal advice about it.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] I also found a bunch of blogs and some local news sites (or at least that's what they seem to be) where I'm not sure of the source quality. The Washington State Department of Licensing includes it as an example of aggressive driving (aggressive and risky driving, such as: [...] Braking to get others to back off your bumper.). I think it's safe to say that the concept is notable. That being said, I think the WP:COMMONNAME is "brake checking" and would suggest a WP:RM if this article is kept. TompaDompa (talk) 23:43, 3 May 2021 (UTC) - Keep, it is a very common but Rename either "Brake check" or "Brake checking" as per WP:COMMONNAME. A "Brake test" sounds like some type of diagnostic procedure.--Rusf10 (talk) 22:21, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
- Agree with Rusf10, keep and rename to "Brake check" per WP:COMMONNAME. Article is clearly notable, even with the trouble finding sources. Prinsgezinde (talk) 20:56, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
- Delete, this page is closer to a dictionary entry than an encyclopedia page imo (WP:NOT). Suitable for Wiktionary? DigitalHamster (talk) 06:35, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- Keep and rename to 'Brake check' per everyone else's suggestions. Carwile2 *message* 01:55, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
