Fails WP:NSPORT having never played in a professional regular season game as well as WP:GNG (Chris Brown is such a common name, it was difficult to find much on this one). Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:03, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Having never played in a professional football game, subject is not entitled to a presumption of notability per WP:NGRIDIRON. He did not receive All-American honors or any other major national awards while playing college football, and is therefore not entitled to a presumption of notability per WP:NCOLLATH, and must satisfy the general notability standard per WP:GNG to qualify for a stand-alone Wikipedia article. As a Tennessee Volunteers football player, he was a blocking fullback and had zero yards rushing, but did compile a total of 700+ yards receiving in four college seasons. Substantial coverage of his college career seems confined to fan blogs and sources related to the University of Tennessee, which do not support notability as independent, reliable sources. Searching Google News Archive (keys words "Chris Brown Tennessee Volunteers") and sampling the results, it appears mainstream news coverage was limited to trivial mentions and routine post-game and recruiting coverage. Applying the usual standards, he appears non-notable for Wikipedia purposes. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 04:34, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete does not appear to have met the threshhold of WP:GNG or any other notability standard I can find. May achieve it in the future if he can manage to get picked up and play professionally, so obviously no prejudice to bring back the article later.--Paul McDonald (talk) 19:19, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Does not meet WP:NGRIDIRON (never pro) or WP:NCOLLATH (no individual media attention). - Presidentman talk · contribs Random Picture of the Day (Talkback) 22:18, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per the above; does not appear to meet WP:ATH or WP:GNG. Gongshow Talk 22:57, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Needs to have played in at least one game in the pro leagues to meet WP:NGRIDIRON. Fails on that ground alone.--Batard0 (talk) 15:35, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Fails the "never set foot on a professional field" test (WP:NGRIDIRON). The moment he's on-field for a snap he'll pass.BennyHillbilly (talk) 06:23, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
