The result of the debate was delete. The naming issue has been addressed per Portal talk:India Featured articles, and the consensus below therefore reflects a delete close. Hiding talk 17:25, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Urshyam has gone and forked the whole featured-content process, primarily through copying and pasting, into the Portal:India domain. This is *utterly* unacceptable. Featured articles are chosen only through the featured article process of vetting done at wikipedia:featured article candidates. Ditto for featured pictures and lists. This is an attempt to end-run around the system (and furthermore, serves only to encourage others from doing the same). Also, if left to exist, this would basically result in a balkanization of the featured processes. Raul654 09:02, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
