The result of the discussion was Keep - I also don't like the feel of it, but to overweigh the balance of numbers, the case that it's an attack page would need to be made, not just asserted, and that hasn't happened here. Conversely, the keep position is well explained. WilyD 17:29, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thinly disguised attack page against several Wikipedia editors. Eptified (talk) 01:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Looks like an attack. I can't find valid commentary in it. Too many external links. Misleading linking in the Einstein quote. Overall, not a productive contribution. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:23, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. This request is a politically motivated bullying by Palestine-related activist. The post serves as a warning for new editors to avoid filings against user-space calls to "sharpen the weapons" and seek "victory" against Jews. This call is a real world threat to my fellow Jewish wiki-editors, keeping the cycle of violence in news circulation. However, filing complaints against such calls for Jihad tends to be quickly abused by a rag-tag of Palestine-involved muckety muckers. I'm sure more will soon swoop down here !voting MY "attack" removed. JaakobouChalk Talk 11:38, 3 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I understand that Jaakobou is concerned about a very serious real-world problem, discussion of which sometimes on Wikipedia sometimes trends in unhealthy directions. However, neither this page (which newcomers to Wikipedia aren't likely to see anyway) nor his explanation of it shed much light on what he is trying to accomplish. Given that the page is inherently divisive, I lean toward deletion, but I'm open to being persuaded that I've missed something. Newyorkbrad (talk) 22:36, 5 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
    • It is a bit strange to see a "thinly disguised" political activist posting about user-space material for it being a note on the existence of political activism here at wikipedia. To deny this reality is, frankly, unrealistic and a mention of this by no means falls under "divisive". To allow one extremely violent side take hold in the way that has happened on this site seems to be the sad way things are going. If you care for the future of this project, you'd look for ways to uproot the phenomenon, rather than expunge mentions of it from the records. 87.68.54.132 (talk) 21:39, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - I can't quite understand the exact issue, but it seems to be a record of Jaakobou being banned due to a complaint filed against Tiamut about something Jew-related. Jaakobou seems to value the record as a notice to others who might be interested in filing similar complaints. Seems reasonable to allow him to keep it under these justifications. I don't see anything divisive here -- esp. if you consider the types of editors who like to waste their time on Israel-Palestine related articles. 199.203.51.242 (talk) 10:27, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Since Newyorkbrad reviewed the page as noted above and didn't take any admin action, the page appears to not violate Jaakobou's ban by arbcom ban. The page is directly related to Wikipedia, which is a significant factor when looking at user pages under WP:UP's "What may I not have in my user pages?". The tone is somewhat negative, but seems more of a warning from Jaakobou's perspective of what to not do as a way to better participate in the community. It probably shouldn't be transcluded into User talk:Jaakobou[1] since the transcluded text exceeds the purpose of talk pages, but transcluding it into User:Jaakobou may be OK. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 05:30, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
