See WP:NOTHOWTO. Wikipedia is not a how-to guide. This is clearly inappropriate. We have WikiHow for these sorts of things. This is an encyclopedia; not a how-to guide. Point 1 applies in WP:NOTHOWTO because this is nothing but an instruction manual. Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:00, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Keep - Deferring to refdesk regulars whether something in the refdesk (not part of the encyclopedia) is useful or not. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 16:33, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Weak Keep - Wikipedia is not a how-to manual applies to articles and drafts, not to information kept at the Reference Desk, which often fields how-to questions. There already was an RFC on whether to delete the Reference Desks, and that was a Keep also. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:58, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NOTHOWTO. The Ref desks might be deleted too in good time. Legacypac (talk) 21:13, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- Keep NOTHOWTO only applies to mainspace content and drafts. If we apply it everywhere, then Refdesk itself has to be deleted, 'cause it solely exists to teach and answer HOWTO questions. –Ammarpad (talk) 06:43, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
