Just like Wikipedia:Reference desk/Computer/Viruses/MajorUpdate, this is also WP:NOTHOWTO. This had a MfD nomination eight years ago which was closed as keep. However, this is just entirely an instruction manual and this is not exempt from WP:NOTHOWTO and this WikiHow page is sufficient enough. This is not the correct place for this content; this is an encyclopedia and not a how-to guide. Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:26, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Weak Keep - While the nominator's arguments seem correct, they also seem not to be unrelated either to improving the encyclopedia or improving the reference desk. Wikipedia is not a how-to manual applies to articles and draft articles, not to the Reference Desk, which is largely a place for how-to questions. Maybe a stronger argument can be made for deletion, but, until now, Keep. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:02, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Keep - Deferring to refdesk regulars whether something in the refdesk (not part of the encyclopedia) is useful or not. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 20:06, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Keep Chide the nominator for not speaking to the rationals in the SNOW keep discussion of Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Reference desk/Computing/Viruses, and WP:SLAP him for not even linking it. HOWTOs relating to accessing Wikipedia are exempt from NOTHOWTO. Outdated means sofixit or archive. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:32, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
- Self-trout I forgot to link the previous discussion which was at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:Reference desk/Computing/Viruses but I will withdraw anyway. Pkbwcgs (talk) 10:05, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
