Nomination
[edit]JahaalChakravarti (talk · contribs) – I am nominating myself for administratorship,I know that some might say that it is too early for me to become administrator but I am prepared to administer a website which I love and which I have contributed to for a long time as an anonymous user,I am fully aware and equipped to face admin responsibilities and hope that my dream to have this great responsibility on my shoulders comes true. I love Wikipedia and have contributed to this site for many months first as an anonymous user and then have created my own account and contributed to it,I want to be an administrator on this site because I know that becoming an administrator gives you a great responsibility on this site and I want that responsibility which is why I have nominated myself,hope that I get the chance to handle this great responsibility and serve this site which I love. [edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please answer these questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I intend to participate in all types of administrative work on Wikipedia and encourage discussion by other users because healthy debate leads to spread of truthful information which is one of the main objectives of wikipedia,I know some may think it is too early for me to handle this responsibility but I promise that if I am made an administrator,I will work for this site which I love and against vandals and people who are out to tamper with the truth.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: I have contributed to many articles but most of my contributions have been to articles of Indian singer Himesh Reshammiya and Maratha king Sambhaji,I have also contributed for many years for Wikipedia without creating an account,at that time I did not realise importance of having a wikipedia account yet contributed vigorously to it as an anonymous user.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: This is a part of being a contributor to Wikipedia and I have had many many users who have disagreed with my opinions even when I cited them,to these people,thier prejudices come first,the truth comes second or is not important to them,the way to deal with such people is to discuss the matter with them and make them accept your point of view.If this happens in the future when I am administrator then I will see whose arguments are right and accordingly decide who to warn and whose opinion to accept.
