Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

Duck test- rapid low quality article creations with most of them based on India's film industry, numerous unnecessary redirects and similar talk page notices. Sock created a day after the master was issued warning for inappropriate page creations, started actively creating articles as the master was blocked for a week and then subsided. Activity resumed today after the master was indef blocked for the previous reason. MT TrainDiscuss 17:02, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The only edits by this account are creating Draft:Pankaj Kumar, which has already been deleted five times, most recently after creation by blocked user User:Makhamakhi, who was blocked in February by admin User:Swarm for disruptive editing. Since this account began editing on 12 February, it may be the senior account, but a clerk or CheckUser can verify. Request Checkuser to examine the feathers, but the duck is quacking. User:Harry Siddiqui recreated List of awards and nominations received by Shweta Tiwari, an article created by User:Makhamakhi with the same sourcing as before. In addiion, the former edits articles which were of the interest of the latter, including—but not limited to— television and film-related articles, specially the ones concerning Balaji Telefilms. I request a CU to see if there are any more sleeper accounts.

  •  Clerk assistance requested: Can a clerk please move this page from '[[Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Makhalmakhi]]' to '[[Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Makhamakhi]]', please? I had the wrong spelling in my mind when I filed this request, and I hereby apologise for that.

In addition to the above can a clerk make other appropriate changes as s/he sees fit? I'd be highly obliged. 20:04, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Potential sock- or meatpuppeteering. Coordinated editing at the very least. The suspected master and Rebecca Pinto were created within a few days of each other in June 2017. Rebecca Pinto remained dormant until Jan 2018. On 8 Feb Meghna Mishra Singer was created. Between 06:21 and 06:31 Pinto started an article about Meghna Mishra in her sandbox, then stopped (diff). User Meghna Mishra Singer then created a draft on the same topic in her sandbox at 06:34 and edited for a few days (diff). Both users also edited the article once it was in main space. On 15 Feb, the sock master "promoted" a slightly different, but essentially aligned article to main space. A day later, that user was blocked. The next substantive edit was made by Meghna Mishra Singer in April 2018. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 08:44, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Another user to bring up is XARyz, both created the article Ehan Bhat within days of each other. Wgolf (talk) 20:12, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
