Early life and career
Dean and Dan Caten were born in 1965 as Dean and Dan Caten in Toronto Ontario. They are the youngest of nine children. In 1991, the brothers moved to Milan, Italy to create their own collections and become fashion designers.[1] They debuted their men's collection in 1994, and in 2003, they launched a women's collection and a men's underwear collection.[2]

The Catens were awarded the 2003 GQ Men of the Year Breakout Design Award. In 2006, they received the Golden Needle Award, joining past prestigious winners such as Oscar de la Renta, Gianni Versace, Manolo Blahnik, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, and Tom Ford.[1]
Radio
The Canadian twin brothers will get their own radio program called Dean and Dan on Air: Style in Stereo. Slated to begin airing on May 5th on Sirius satellite radio’s BPM channel, the program will play a variety of music (including soundtracks from select DSquared2 runway shows), along with celebrity interviews, fashion and political discussions.
