Dear sir,

I am colaborating with the wikipedia project (www.wikipedia.org), intended to create a global-free content encyclopedia which anyone can use as source of information. All wikipedia content is protected by the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL), which is detailed in http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html

As it is the spirit of the wikipedia, no images/texts that are not in the public domain or can be reproduced using GFDL are allowed to be reproduced.

I have had a close look at your website (http://www.dean.usma.edu), where I got while searching for an image to illustrate an article about the battle of Zama (202 B.C.) and found your atlases really interesting as information source.

So I would like to know if the maps are in the Public Domain, or if I possibly could use them to illustrate articles in the wikipedia.

An example of an article about the battle can be read at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Zama I have translated it to Spanish to use it in the Spanish language wikipedia, (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batalla_de_Zama).

Also I would like to encourage you to join the wikipedia project.

I'm looking forward to your answer,

Antonio J. Soler Sánchez
