Hello,

I am colaborating with the wikipedia project (www.wikipedia.org) and I
would like to use a image from your database to illustrate the Dinamo
Operation (The evacuation of Dunkerque).

The article can be read at
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operaci%C3%B3n_Dinamo, it's in Spanish,
but I plan to write the article in the English wikipedia as well.

As you know, all wikipedia content is protected by the GNU Free
Documentation License (GFDL), which is detailed in
http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html

So I would like to ask you for permission to post the image in the
article, as I need your authorisation to do it. According to the GDFL,
the image keeps its original source (you) what will be pointed out in
the article.

I'm looking forward to your answer.

Thank you in advance,

Antonio J. Soler Sánchez --~~~~

I don't have a problem with using the material, please credit "The
World War II Multimedia Database http://www.worldwar2database.com/"

However, because my site got slammed with picture requests from off
site, it may be impossible to hotlink to the picture. My web host
shut down hotlinking to prevent even more traffic from spiking. Give
it a try, but if it doesn't work there's nothing I can do to help.
The provider is being generous as it is to let me keep hosting for
the huge bandwidth I'm not gobbling up.

Thanks,
Jason McDonald

Hello, Jason

I have uploaded an image to wikipedia commons, it is currently in:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Evacuation_dunkerque.jpg

I intend to use it in several articles related with World War II,
involving Operation Dynamo in particular.

I would thank you if you had a look at there, and by the way at the
English wikipedia. If you have any suggestion to add to the image
description, I will modify it.

Let me know if there is any problem. Thank you very much in advance.

It seems to work. Thanks.

I will keep you aware of any image I could be interested of your
website, before I use it in the Wikipedia.

Feel free to send me your comments.

By the way, I would like to encourage you to join the wikipedia
project (http://www.wikipedia.org) thus helping us with your
knowledge. I am mainly editing Spanish articles of the wikipedia
(es.wikipedia.org) as I am from Spain, but I like to have a look at
the English wikipedia from time to time. My English is too bad to dare
myself to create a whole new article in the language of Shakespeare :)
