Сезон 2010 GP3 — первый сезон серии GP3, которая является серией поддержки GP2. В рамках чемпионата пройдёт девять этапов, первый пройдёт 8 мая в Барселоне, а завершительный 12 сентября в Монце.[1] Было объявлено десять команд, которые выставят три болида.

Команды и пилоты

  • В первых тестовых сериях команды получали номера в алфавитном порядке. То есть пилотам «Addax» были даны номера 1, 2 и 3, пилоты «ART» получили номера 4, 5 и 6, и так далее. Однако, в ходе специально отведённой для определения номеров тестовой сессии на автодроме Поль Рикар 1 апреля 2010 года, быстрейшим был Александр Росси. И в итоге по ходу сезона номера 1, 2 и 3 будут использовать пилоты «ART Grand Prix».[2]

Carlin have signed British Formula Renault champion Dean Smith and British Formula Ford runner-up Josef Newgarden to drive full-time for the team. Lucas Foresti, one of the team's current British Formula Three drivers will race for the team in the opening rounds of the series.

Pablo Sánchez López will step up from Italian Formula Three to compete for the Addax Team. Mirko Bortolotti moves across from Formula Two to partner the Mexican, while Felipe Guimarães completes the team, having contested selected races in Indy Lights.

Michael Christensen, who raced in the 2009 Formula BMW Europe season for Mücke Motorsport, has joined MW Arden. Christensen will be joined by Miquel Monrás, who was fifth in the Formula Renault Eurocup, and Leonardo Cordeiro, the 2009 Formula Three Sudamericana champion.

Simon Trummer, who raced in 2009 in International Formula Master driver for Iris Project, has joined Jenzer Motorsport. He has been joined by Pål Varhaug, who raced for Jenzer in Formula Master in 2009, and Nico Müller, who raced for Jenzer in the Formula Renault Eurocup and was champion in the Swiss Formula Renault 2.0 series.

Doru Sechelariu, 2009 Formula BMW Europe driver for Eifelland Racing will drive for Tech 1 Racing. He will be joined in Barcelona by two drivers who will be dovetailing GP3 commitments with other series. Daniel Juncadella will combine his programme with a campaign in the Formula Three Euroseries, while Jean-Eric Vergne leads the British Formula Three Championship.

ATECH CRS have signed Formula Master graduate Patrick Reiterer and former British Formula Three racer Oliver Oakes to drive two of their cars. The third will be driven in Barcelona by Vittorio Ghirelli, after he stepped down from Team Ghinzani in Italian Formula Three.

An eight-round calendar was announced on 18 December 2009.[29] On 30 April 2010, it was announced that the series would increase to nine rounds, with a round in support of the Шаблон:F1 gp added.[30]
